  1. I've only been gluten-free for about a week and a half. Blood work points to celiac, but waiting for the biopsy until next week. My swelling of ankles and hands didn't start until AFTER I went on the gluten-free diet...is that weird? It seemed like once my vomitting and diarrehea symptoms went away when I stopped eating gluten, the swelling started, and I've never retained water like this! (I just delivered a baby 2 months ago...was NEVER swollen) Am I doing something obviously wrong? It's really getting frustrating because when I get rid of one problem, it seems another comes along! Help!!
  2. I'm breastfeeding my 2 month old now and have blood work testing positive for celiac disease, still waiting on the biopsy. I was told to begin using infant vitamins including iron because I've had severe anemia and lots of weight loss. (Still having trouble keeping all foods down even though I've been gluten-free for almost a week) My milk supply has gone down a little due to I think lack of nutrients in my own body, but my daughter isn't fussy and seems to still be getting enough so both my pediatrician and GI said to continue as long as possible. Hope everything keeps going well...has anyone else used baby vitamins? I really hadn't heard of them being necessary before now...

  4. I'm really new to being gluten-free, and I was wondering about Campbell's soup. Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken soup both contain "modified food starch". I know that can be questionable sometimes, but does anyone know if Campbell's specifically uses wheat starch? Does anyone have a list? I love cooking with these soups, so if you know of any other namebrands that have gluten-free cream of mushroom or chicken, that would also be helpful. THanks so much!
