  1. I went of gluten 8 weeks ago to see if it would make a difference to the stomach issues I was having. The majority of my symptoms stayed exactly the same. 4 weeks ago I went of all dairy and all my symptoms were completely gone within about 5 days. I am thinking it was the dairy and not the gluten that was responsible for my health issues. I tested negative for celiac that was done prior to me coming of gluten by biopsy. I want to try and reintroduce wheat/gluten and wondered if there was a certain way I should try this? Just eat something? eat something small? eat a large amount of wheat hoping to set of a reaction? Eat wheat for several days and then stop and wait? How should I approach this?
  2. I have been gluten free for about 6 weeks and I have noticed an improvement in my health (less bloating, less foggy, more energy) but am still having some issues. A brief history: I was vegan for 7 years until last July when due to loosing too much weight and the fact that I was finding eating anything difficult I went back to eating some dairy fat free cottage cheese and fat free yogurt. I have mild Gastroparesis and a esophageal motility disorder. My thinking is maybe the dairy is causing some issues. I still get some cramping and bloating after eating and wondered how commonly these 2 issues gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance are linked. I also seem to have a problem with corn and eggs and so already avoid those.
  3. Typically how long does this withdrawal period last?
  4. I have a long history of digestive issues, gerd, esophageal regurgitation, and have EDS type 3. I started a gluten free diet 5 days ago. The first 48 hours my lower gut seemed less bloated and I felt less foggy but now I feel pretty rough to be honest. I have a pounding headach in my forehead, and have been having more trouble sleeping. Is this in the realm of normal detoxing as it were coming off gluten? I can do this and cope with most things if I know there is light at the end of the tunnel.
