  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. IV Benadryl is use to treat migraines in hospital settings. Migraines are not a histamine response, but a muscle spasm. The idea is that the Benadryl calms the patient and allows the muscle spasms to stop. I do not know if this is what happens in my gut when I take Benadryl after an accidental gluten-ing, but I know that it helps, and that is all that matters...
  3. While in CA last month I was glutened so badly at a restaurant in a fancy hotel that I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I asked the front dest if they had any benadryl and they practically threw it at me (perhaps trying to prevent a lawsuit). I usually keep a couple of 25 mg benadryls in my purse at all time. When I get glutened I take them...
  4. The Thanksgiving Potluck for the Boulder-Longmont Celiac Support Group (Front Range Celiac Support Group) will be November 17th at 6pm at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Martin Hall) in Longmont, CO. Please email BoulderGlutenFree...
  5. Hi! I am going to go with no here, b/c if it is something that does not have soy sauce in the cooking phase, then it is breaded, or searved with noodles. I have been to one place (besided PF Changs) that did gluten-free, and they didn't do a very good job. They got confused a lot, and made a lot of mistakes. And this wasn't just one visit, this was a place...
  6. I don't know if you would call it "immediate" but within 20 minutes, I have dizziness, a slight headache, and bowel sounds (rumble in my abdomen). Usually followed by diarrhea within 5 mintues of that, and a THROBBING headache within 5 minutes. I then get some muscle cramps, usually in my legs. That is all general. There are more specific series' of events...
  7. Well, I guess we can just use the ones without the Vit E?? Hm...I wonder if it is pharmaceutical grade, because if so, then it is triple distilled, and should be very gluten-free........
  8. 9. I did some research and found out that wines wouldn't "contain" gluten, but might be filtered through grains to eliminate sediment (for white wines). Some are filtered through coal, some through grains, some through screens, but not metal, because that changes the wines aging process. The cheaper ones use grain, but even that is rare now. That might explain...
  10. I am new to this whole thing, so I am still putting all of the bit together, but I do get VERY HOT at night. I sleep with one of those tornado fans on the nightstand blowing right on me, and I still wake up really really hot, like I am burning up from the inside. I am only 23, and have no kids or anything like that. I had no idea that this might be a celiac...
