  1. Kathy 1, I live in Lee. I just found your support thread on the forum. Since it was 5 years old, I figured this was the best route. I am FINALLY correctly diagnosed with celiac, but it's taken its toll. I gained weight - lots & uncontrollably - and 2 days ago learned I am into bottom of diabetes range. Still want a group? Did you find help? Could we get in touch? Thanks!

  2. It is for me. I have tested negative for celiac and MANY other things including dairy. I have had more tests in the last year than I can count.I wanted to try probiodics as I have heard alot of good things about them. Since my husband eats a gluten-free diet, I already tried going gluten-free. That did not help at all, so that is why I am willing to give probiodics a try. My Dr has basically said he has no idea what is wrong with me.
  3. I want to be tested for food allergy's. What company do you recommend I go to? Since my DR doesnt believe in testing food allergys, I need to do this on my own. What foods should I get tested for? What company will provide testing on a larger number of possible food allergys? Thank you
  4. I need help deciding which probiodic to buy. What do you recommend? This would be to benefit SEVERE stomach bloating, gas and pain.
  5. Can anyone find the link of previous discussions on Sami's? I would love to read everything yu have on it.
  6. My husb has been eating Sami's Bakery poducts and really enjoys them. For the 1st time since going gluten-free, he enjoys a sandwich again. He eats the Millet & Flax bread, wraps, Hamburger and Hot dog rolls and he really loves the Pizza crust. The store cant keep these products in stock, as soon as they are delivered, the shelves are empty! Our problem is that we recd an email last week from the CELIAC@LISTSERV.ICORS.ORG stating that these products were not gluten-free. The email was old, Feb 2007, so I dont know why it resurfased, but we are now confused. has any testing been done since 2-07 on these products? The product labels do not state that the products are gluten-free, but all of the ingredients listed are gluten-free. So even without a gluten-free label- the ingredients indicate it to be a gluten-free product. The listed ingredients for the Millet and Flax bread are: Organic Millet Flour, Brown Rice Flour, Water, Aluminum Free Baking Powder, Sea Salt, Organic Grounded Flax Seed . If you saw this, would you buy it thnking it to be a safe gluten-free product? I need to know if anyone on the board has any information on Sami's Bakery products? My husband feels fine eating them. We would hate to give up using a product that we enjoy if it's not necessary to do so. Plus, the cost for these products are much more reasonable, 3.99 a loaf of bread instead of $7 or $8. I'd appreciate any guidance you can offer.
  7. Does anyone have a good Tuna noodle casserole recipe? I have the gluten-free egg noodles, but not sure about how to make it.
  8. I think that some of this controversy may be a "CYA" approach, since no one wants to be held liable! My husband drinks Jim Beam and has no problems at all. In fact- his Dr raves about his results on the gluten-free diet, so it does not appear to be effecting him in any way.
  9. Anyone know where we can buy this in bulh at a discounted price? I love this and use it alot. I have resorted to buying most gluten-free items in bulk via the internet, but I have not had any success in finding a site that offers this at a savings. The lowest price I can find is around 2.99. I would be more than willing to buy a few cases at a time if the price is right!!
  10. And how can it be purchased in bulk? I have only found it in multi packs at amazon .com. I believe it comes 6 packages to a case.
  11. I love Pamelas mix but it is very expensive- The best place I have found is amazon .com. saves dollars per bag....
  12. thats exactly what I have been saying since I discovered Pamelas. I use it all the time, just like you would use bisquick. Its fabulous.
  13. Walmart brand (copy of Centrum) vitamens. the pharmasist checked with the manufacturer. Much cheaper too!!
  14. My husb loves the Energ Wylde Pretzels. Says they are very close the "reg" pretzels and they do not cost $5 a bag.
  15. I tried making gluten-free Quiche crust for my celiac husband, but it was awful! Now I make my quiche crustless. It comes out exactly the same, but with no crust. I just spray the pan with oil and toss in my ingrediants. Very simple!
