  1. So you have Celiac. Ok. But you can still live a relatively "normal" life, even with its ups and downs. We live with this disease knowing the cure is right there, staying away from gluten. Others are not so lucky with their diagnoses that have no absolute cure: diabetes, ALS, congestive heart failure, cancer, just to name a few. Don't get me wrong...
  2. What people have describing is seems to be happening my left leg. It's almost a pulsating buzz and it varies in severity. It is such a weird feeling. This has been fairly recent. Like maybe three to four weeks.
  3. EMK, I am with you that my neurological symptoms flare up and become more susceptible every two weeks. It becomes rather monotonous and frustrating because then everybody knows that time of month for me. I try to hide the symptoms, but sometimes they just say "HI!". Pbbbt! In addition to going to gluten free as this was found to be a HUGE trigger...
  4. It's tough and scary when you find you have to go gluten-free for health reasons and not just a fad. That first episode hit hard and fast leaving me in a whirlwind of dust. I was in survival mode for quite some time. The doctors all kept telling me "You are fine. All tests came back normal". HAH!! As a last straw, my mom asked if I would be willing...
  5. I'm not able to do much dairy, so I use almond milk as part of my breakfast. You can use it as a substitute for cow's milk for pretty much anything.

However, even in my junior high and high school years and on through my college years staying awake was always a struggle for me. maybe the gluten was a factor back in junior high and just didn't realize it. There were times in church and other times I would just BAM...
  7. Is there any way to have an event like this in the northeastern part of North Dakota? It would be great if this could happen.
  8. He may want to think about cutting out the soda for a while as well because the high fructose corn syrup does a real number on the body. High fructose corn syrup is highly toxic and destroys the body's systems. Feel free to research on it. It's nasty stuff. As to the loss of appetite, sometimes food does not sound appealing to me. A lot times it...
  9. When my mom and myself figured out it was mostly gluten that was making me go into "my" episodes, my mom decided it was time to go cold turkey for a few months to see how it goes. Between November-mid-January, I cut out all sugars, diary, and caffeine, even chocolate which was hard. I felt like a rabbit eating only veggies and meat during this time. I...
