  1. Thanks guys, I feel better already!!
  2. Hey there, Finially Thursday is my appt and I'm nervous. I've never had surgury before. The nurse said I'll be fine to go to work on Friday. Will I be sore?
  3. Thanks all for the info....I'm confused though, nini, I thought you had to consume gluten before the endoscopy so it will show positive results for celiac. If I'm gluten free won't I take a risk having negative results because of the diet?
  4. Hi all, I first found out I have an allegy to wheat with a IgE blood test then a nurse pract. ordered more blood tests, I think a Celiac Panel. She called me and said I don't have the antibody for celiac so I don't have the disease but now the GI doctor wants to do an endoscopy to know for sure. He told me to go off the gluten free diet, so I have. My only previous symptoms were bloating and more recently I've been experiencing muscle spasms and back pain, which did not go away even though i was on the diet for 3 weeks. I thought the endoscopy might be a good idea even if I don't have Celiac since its a camera and he might see any other problems going on? Does that make sense? Or should I be questioning whether to have this done at all?
  5. Hi Lisa, It seems so strange that these pains came on the same time the Dr. started ordering tests. Maybe my body is just screaming "no more gluton" after not knowing what was wrong for so long. Where should I ask for the Delfi Produce list? Thanks to all on this site. Just reading all the posts has really helped. The internet can be a wonderful thing. I can't imagine how alone people were before it. Kirsten
  6. Tom Thanks for the advice. And here I was thinking I was paranoid. Your right I'll stick to the basics for a while. It will be so great to feel better! Kirsten
  7. Hi Betty, I feel the same way. I've only been gluten-free for 6 days. The first fews days, I was happy I didn't feel bloated but now I'm horribly bloated and keep thinking something else is wrong. I just wanted to thank you for your post because I've seen the replies and it seems we just need to be patient and time will heal. I think also in my case this whole thing is stessing me out and that is causing me back pain and stomach pain. I'm going to get a yoga tape and maybe treat myself to message this weekend to help relax. Kirsten
  8. Opps, I meant gluten and typed glucose. Thanks for the info! I didn't know about Malt.
  9. I have had problems with bloating for about 6 years. First I was told it was because I had fibroids, then a couple of years later my Dr. had me do an upper GI and told me I had acid reflux. Then in December my gas and bloating got so bad he ran some blood tests on me and a food allegy test came back and Jan 12th he told me I have an allergic reaction to wheat. The IgE shows .90 KU/L which states a moderate level. He told me to go on a wheat free diet and he would have to do some research and call me (I'm still waiting). Since then I've found out about Celiac Disease. I also have hypothyroidism. It seems to explain the bloating. I've been trying to cut all wheat, oats and barley and look for the hidden glucose in the ingredients but it seems so hard and overwelming! I felt better for a few days but then the bloating is back. I used taco seasoning today, Is there something in the spices? Does it take a while to feel relief, maybe I'm too anxious but the reason I'm scared is because all the sudden I feel aches and pains and I've lost about 5 lbs in the last two weeks. Is it a common symtom to only have bloating with this? Any help would be much appreciated!! Also where can I get a list of all the safe name brands in the store? Thanks! Kirsten
