  1. Red Lobster

I ate there last sunday and I had a salad (no dressing), baked potato and the oven baked flounder (its a lunch special). I didn't get sick and I don't remember feeling ill after, but there might have been gluten in the spices on the fish (it tasted like seasoning salt)
  2. I am looking for an instant breakfast, that you would put in milk or maybe even yogurt? Whats out there?
  3. Cheese Cake?

Here are a few that me and my husband love... *pie crusts Cherry Cheese Pie 8oz soft cream cheese 14oz sweetened condensed milk 1/3 cup lemon juice 1 tsp vanilla Cherry pie filling Beat cheese until fluffy, add milk, beat until smooth. Stir in lemon juice and vanilla. Pour into crust and chill for 3 hours Cherry Cheesecake 1 cherry jello 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla Boil 1 cup of water, add jello, stir until disolved (don't add the cold water). Pour into pie pan and refrigerate overnight. *Nut pie crust 3Tb butter 1/2 cup ground almonds, walnuts or pecans 2Tb sugar Melt butter, add nuts and sugar, press into pie pan and chill.
  4. I am so excited about this! I can't wait for thanksgiving, but I have one question. Do you have to use liners in the muffin pan? Will they still hold without them?
  5. Diet Pills

I am wondering if anyone has used them and what kind they used. I've seen Hydroxie(sp) cut on TV and it sounds good, but whats the catch? I need a little help, I am asking this because I am about 20lbs overweight and diet and working out isn't helping so much. Thanks
  6. Gluten Free Meatballs?

Taco meatballs 1.5 lbs ground beef 1 package old El Paso taco seasoning mix 1 onion chopped 2 eggs 1 tsp garlic 1 block sharp chedder cheese cut into small cubes Preheat oven to 425 Beat eggs, then mix in all remaining ingredients (except cheese) Mold a tablespoon of meat mixture around a cube of cheese to form a small meat ball. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake until meat is cooked and cheese is melted (about 10-15min). If you can't eat cheese or eggs, replace it with your favorite egg replacer and use soy cheese. Hope this helps out, enjoy!
  7. gluten-free Pie Crust

thanks for all the tips you guys! I hadn't heard about the potato crust, I can't wait to use it.
  8. So, my husband loves spinach quiche and cheese cake, I however can't eat these foods because of the crusts. I have recipes for these foods but no gluten-free pie crusts recipes. I have thought of using the pizza crust recipe (rice, cheese and egg) and changing it by using rice, sugar and eggs (use that in the cheese cake). However for the quiche I don't know, use swiss cheese instead of chedder? Does anyone know if this will work? Any ideas out there? Thanks
  9. What To Do?

I'm finding it hard to eat with this adrenal fatigue syndrome what do you all eat? I've read a couple differnet things that say I shouldn't eat yogurt and cheese and then others say I dhouldn't. Anything else I should know about? Thanks
  10. I was wondering if anyone else had adrenal fatigue syndrom before they found out that they had Celiac disease? What I've been reading is that one of the stressors that can lead to adrenal fatigue is gluten intolerance. I had adrenal fatigue syndrom for about 2 years, started feeling better then found out that I had celiac disease. Is it possible to have not known that I had celiac disease and got the adrenal thing from that? Because I also read that a lot people don't know that they have celiac disease until something major happens in their life (which is what happened with me) So I'm kinda confussed, if anyone knows about this I would love some tips:-)
  11. What To Do?

Hey Carla I'm all teary eyed right just read your post, looked up a few things on line and called my mom. I had forgotten that I had this adrenal problem back in high school. It had gotten better but I guess its back again, so I its time for a change. I had gone to a doctor who had given me a vitamin supplement but I can't use it now because of Celiac (it contains, wheat germ and oats). So I am wondering what you are using? I take a vitamin B complex and a multi vitamin daily, however I don't think its enough. I am a healthy eater, except for the past two months. I have been going crazy over sugar, salty and fatty foods; I've gained 10lbs and because of that I have been excersing more but then I am so tired. Its a horrible cycle I have gotten into. Also I am wondering did you have this before or after you found out you had Celiac? I found out last year I had a celiac disease but I had already had adrenal fatigue syndrom before. From what I've read adrenal fatigue syndrom can lead to a gluten intolerance. What do you know about this? Thanks so much for reading this and for you time:-)
  12. What To Do?

OMG...I just looked up the adrenal gland thing and it fits me exactly. I did go to the doctor back in June and they ruled out diabetes, thyroid and iron deficiency. So, are you taking vitamins or anything to help your adrenals?
  13. What To Do?

Ok, I'm feeling kind of down right now. I don't know what is wrong with me. I have not eaten anything with gluten in it for the last 5 months, but I am still feeling tired, hungry and dizzy more often then I should be. I only work about 18 hours a week, I work out 5 days a week, I sleep 7 hour every night and yet I can't stay awake all day, all I can think about is eating and at least once a day I get light headed and almost pass out. The doctors said its not a iron problem, I don't have a thyroid problem, they even said I didn't have a wheat intolerance but every time I eat wheat I am sicker than a dog (I fit the bill for Celiac or at least a wheat intolerance). Anyway, i am wondering if anyone else has this problem? Do I have depression? If anyone has anything, please help me out. I am only 21 and I don't want the rest of my life to be like this.
  14. My husband loves monkey bread but I can't eat it the way the recipe says. The recipe calls for 4 cans of biscuits (premade ones) so I don't even have a recipe to change. Does anyone have one?
  15. This isn't a sugar cookie but its a really easy chocolate chip cookie recipe that I like because it doesn't require a lot of flour. Chocolate chip cookies 1/2 cup gluten-free flour 2 eggs 1tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp baking powder 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 peanut butter 1/4 cup butter or shortening 1 cup choc. chips Preheat oven for 350 Add sugar, P.B., butter, eggs and vanilla in a bowl, mix well. Add flour and baking powder to the wet mixture and blend together. Add choc. chips and mix. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheep and bake for 12 min.
