  1. good evening all - wanted to say thanks for the informative and prompt replies; i'm pleasantly surprised to hear so soon. my visit with the dietician was yesterday. it was apparent she was fairly versed; i am glad i had done some "homework" prior to. lots of differing opinions out there, that's for sure. so, the gluten-free diet is underway, albeit i must say i drank a coke tonight. not sure if i can "have" it - but one for the road until i find out for sure. i think i'm going to start some exercise - very limited - really take it slow. i tend to push too hard normally. if david b is out there reading - please keep me posted about your results. again, thanks to each of you for your time and replies - i am encouraged and don't feel so alone. lastly, i love the kitty picture - your babies are adorable! my kitty megan is my baby and my life. kindest regards, b-rabbit )
  2. good evening forum folks - has been over a year since i've been able to get motivated / stick to my running. now recently diagnosed with celiac's (i see a dietician thursday). i'm relieved - to know i may have an answer to why i've been so depressed, unmotivated, and chronically tired (not to mention looking like a pot belly pig with stick legs forever) . so getting ready to go for the gluten-free diet, even though this requires saying goodbye to mike's hard lime ! want to run again and start weight training. mostly have done so in the past for mental health and to feel like i've accomplished something just for me. would love to hear from you - any similar experiences, what got / keeps you motivated, and what i might "watch out" for on this journey. also - anyone know if wearing a medical bracelet is necessary? (right now, i guess i'm having a hard time taking this disease seriously) thanks for your time - hope to hear from you ! b-rabbit )
