  1. I know this is a rather late reply, but being a fan of sushi, I often will purchase Bragg Liquid Aminos or a wheat free tamari and bring it with me when I am going to have sushi or anything that soy sauce tastes good with. Both are great replacements for soy sauce!
  2. HUG!!! I certainly feel for you! Can you eat corn? I make a killer eggplant parmesan using polenta and rice flour as the breading. If your the sauce you use is rich enough, you don't need the cheese. Also, I have found I like to experiment. I have looked online for different recipes that I could translate into gluten free. Perhaps you could do that? I used to be a vegetarian and I used to do the same thing with recipes. What meat recipes could I turn into veggie dishes? I find that the best way for me to keep from being bored with my food is to keep it creative. A little lemon juice and garlic goes a long way! Finally, do you like salmon? Here is a recipe for you: 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided 1/4 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped 1 full salmon fillet (about 2 1/2 pounds), skin on, pin bones removed (see tip) 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 1. Heat oven to 450
  3. Hi all, I am new to this board but I am in need of some support! About 3 weeks ago I vacationed in Vancouver BC and thought I was doing well at staying away from gluten. Yet some how it must have snuck in... I have been sick ever since. I have been really good at staying away from gluten since I was diagnosed about a year ago. The last 4 months have been really good. I have actually been feeling better than I have for a very long time. And now this. I am still not sure what symptoms I can "blame" on celiacs and if maybe I am dealing with something else so I was hoping you all could share your experiences with me. So it has been over 3 weeks and my symptoms seem to be getting worse instead of better. I was on a retreat this past weekend in which I could not leave my cabin due to fear of being too far from the toilet. I have had not apetite for the past 3 days. Some days I'll eat a bannana, or some days I will have a little more. It seems to get worse instead of better. I ended up taking imodium AD so I could stand the 7 hour car ride home. Next week I am supposed to leave for a vacation of a lifetime to Mexico and I am afraid I will be nothing but sick the entire time. Do you have any advice? Words of wisdom? Tricks that help ease the symptoms? Do you find that your symptoms are worse if you have been with out gluten for a very long time? I appreciate your listening and support!
  4. Hey all, I will be leaving for Zihuantanejo next month for almost 3 weeks. Has anyone ever traveled there and left haveing been successfully gluten free? Any good restaraunts? How do you say Gluten free or allergy in Spanish?! I will be staying in a bungalow with a kitchen so I can probably bring food and buy food there. How are the grocery stores? Thanks for your help!
