I had my hemoglobin checked, in hopes that my levels may have risen, having gone gluten free several months ago.  Instead I found my hemoglobin had dropped to 11.9 which is borderline low.  Has anyone else experienced a drop in nutrient uptake?

I do realize that one drop of blood, and one testing is not very significant.  I am only trying to see if anyone else has experieced this, and if it turned aound later.

I have been on iron supplements for  years.  I have tested between 12-15 until now.  I had to change supplements, so now I am wondering if the new suppliment is effective for me.  I am on a relatively high iron diet, but the diet doesn't seem effective for raising my hemoglobin levels.
