So I finally discovered, after several months of trying to keep myself on a gluten free diet, that my grandmother tested positive for celiac disease. My test was negative so I guess that either means I have not developed full blown celiac yet or that the test was blunted by being mostly gluten free for so long idk. It is all the encouragement i need because I do not want diabetes or lymphoma or none of that.

Yeah, well that is helpful news!  I wouldn't say "good" when someone finds they have celiac, but it is very helpful for she and you.

No but I had been gluten free for months before some weeks of glutening for the test.

Yeah my grandmother told me it was positive but admitted she eats what she wants and wont go back to that doctor because she knows he wants to tell her she needs to be gluten free

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
