14 Weeks Since Dx, Constipation Issue?

My 7 year old daughter is 14 weeks gluten free.  Today she ended up in the hospital because she wasn't eating or drinking.  She was very dehydrated.  It turned out her intestines were so backed up that she had no room to put anything else in.  She also had a mild virus that caused a fever a couple of days ago that made things much worse.  That was so unusual considering she's had diarrhea since she was a baby!  One of the dr's that saw her suggested that her muscles are unsure how to handle solid poop since they've never had to. 

 

Has anyone else ever had this issue?  They want to put her on mirelax the next 2 weeks and possibly long term to help soften her stool and pass it.  She typically eats a bulk of fruits and vegetables, a few gluten free grains, sunbutter, and meat once or twice a day, so it doesn't make sense that she would get constipated by diet alone. 

 

Also, they said she had pre-ulcers in her esophagus.  Has anyone else had that as part of celiac damage that takes time to heal?

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

      What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
