Prior to and a year after my diagnosis of celiac disease I was taking up to 25 pills a day for a variety of things from depression to hypothyroid to neuropathy to Osteopenia
... After alot of research, I weaned off of everything except insulin -I also have Type 1 diabetes- and replaced them with supplements: A, B6, B12, E, 5HT, Folic Acid, Iron, Calcium w/D, Selenium, Magnesium and Zinc. I have found I feel alot better and have more energy (and money). Has anyone had similar experiences?

Well, not similar, but I do believe what you have stated. I take one good multi vitamin/mineral, along with extra potassium, calcium with magnesium and zinc, plus 500 C and selenium. My prescribed meds are .0625 Premerin (full hysterectomy) and 50 mg zoloft (dysthymia). I concentrate better when I take my selenium which is good for my job (accountant). I have better energy when I take my multi vit/min. And I take the calcium for extra procaution -I'm not a big diary drinker. Plus I've seen what osteoporosis does - My mother used to be 5'10" but now she has to look up to see me and I'm 5'7". And if I don't take potassium, I get severe muscle twitches. I've had a bone density screening and I'm in the good range. So, I figure I know I feel better and my dr. hasn't told me to stop, so I'll continue this regimen. It's not terribly expensive and I definitly benefit from it.
