I have not tried these or seen them, except my friend posted a pic on FB of her bag & the words on the side that say gluten-free. It appears Pepperidge Farms is making Bake Goldfish Puffs in 3 flavors and they are gluten-free. This is the same friend who told me about the Glutino poptarts so her taste udis have a good track record.

I couldn't find any info on the P farms website so I have no idea of the ingredients or manufacturing practices or GMOs or if they are made from real goldfish!

GAH!!! I've been calling local stores and NO ONE HAS ANY! But one guy told me he was going to try to get some and will call me back.

Ok, so should I be eating these? Probably not. I don't even know what is in them besides cheese which doesn't agree with me probably. But... omg goldfish! I'm like a 5 year old suddenly.

I found the Vans at Safeway. Was at Whole Foods today and didn't look...if I'd known about the goldfish I would have. Didn't fond anything gluten-free at Target (was looking for goldfish).

We searched for the gluten free goldfish today, nobody in our town carries it BUT the lady in the deli said her sister in law told her they also make a gluten free cookie now. I came home and looked online, can't find evidence of that. I called and the guy I spoke to said the goldfish haven't been offically released yet and he had no idea about the cookie.

I found the goldfish today at Target.  Apparently, they are being released this week or next "Officially".

They are tasty but I like the Van's better.  These do not have the same crisp texture that a real goldfish cracker has.  They aren't quite like a cheese curl puffed.  Maybe I can best compare the texture to a vanilla wafer?  Kind of dense.  They are bigger than the standard goldfish so a kid might like that his are bigger than the other kid's.

Ingredients are :Corn and more corn, whey & milk parts, canola, cheeses and other stuff not always found in nature.  Do not see any soy or nut.

Also bought the Buffalo flavor but haven't opened them yet.

Do you have a Target?  Someone told me that the Targets are supposed all have them out on the shelves by Saturday.  Ours had them out today.

I've never had Van's 'but they look like some gluten free crackers I bought at Sam's' that had a slimy feel in my mouth. I've been desperate to find a good cheese cracker. We tried making some (recipe from Nicole Hunn) BUT they only last a couple of days and there is no way i can eat all that before they get soft and yucky.

If the puffed goldfish taste like Cheeto's....I'll pass.

Probably more Cheeto than cracker.  You might like the Van's but they have gluten-free oats in them.  So, people new to the gluten-free diet shouldn't eat them for a 6 months to a year (depends on who you ask on that)

So, I finally got someone on the phone at Target who has a clue. (Yeah, I've been harassing them. So?) He says that the delivery is coming in overnight tonight and they are also setting up the display overnight tonight and that they'll have the fish in the morning when the store opens right by the doors. I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning. :D

I would... if I did 6 am! I'm more of a 9 am kind of person though. I'm pretty sure they won't sell out in 3 or 4 hours on a Monday morning so I have time to roll lazily out of bed and mosey on down there. I'll probably only buy them once to be sure I like them and then know I have something I can use as a day snack when I spend whole days up in the city. Probably too many ingredients for my liking to eat more than very occasionally.

I didn't like the buffalo flavor at all! Maybe I don't like buffalo flavor. I never really had anything except chicken with it. The plain cheese was very cheesy and I rather liked them. I'm giving my Buffalo flavor to my son's friend. He can save his $3 and see if he likes them.

    • Biopsy confirmed?
Okay, this makes more sense now. Was the celiac test in 2014 part of the checking to find out what was wrong with you which resulted in the Barrets dx?  NO, a colonoscopy will not diagnose celiac disease at all. The biopsies for celiac disease are taken in the small intestine not the colon. You need to get your records, both past & present. If you could post them here then we'd have a much better idea of what's going on and be more able to tell you what you might be looking at. When we say you might not have been given the right celiac blood panel, we mean the FULL, CURRENT panel and not just a primary screening. The screening is good but it does miss celiacs. We have members who tested negative on all but the DgP portions so when one has a situation like yours, you need to cover all the bases & have the complete panel done. Here it is: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA
      Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG
      Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA
      Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA
Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG
      Total Serum IgA
Also can be termed this way: Endomysial Antibody IgA
      Tissue Transglutaminase IgA
      GLIADIN IgG
      GLIADIN IgA
      Total Serum IgA
Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG   If you post your results on the blood work make sure to post the reference ranges listed because different labs have different ranges. It would be imperative to know if the doc took biopsies for celiac when he was doing the endoscopy. How many & where exactly from? Some docs just rely on visual & that's not good enough to dx celiac disease. Biopsies are the only way.
    • Food tolerance issues post-diagnosis
Hi everybody, I'm a 20 year old male, diagnosed with Celiac in February via biopsy, after suffering with progressively worsening symptoms for around a year. I had the blood test for Celiac in June 2015, which came back negative. My main issue pre-diagnosis was a feeling of uncomfortable fullness after eating small amounts which became more and more severe to the point where I was hospitalised in January with malnutrition and severe weight loss. I was placed on a NG feeding tube whilst in hospital as I was struggling to eat at all by this point (even a bowl of cereal led to hours of discomfort - the only comparison I can use to describe the feeling was as if there was a brick sitting in my stomach after eating). An endoscopy I had whilst in hospital showed I had Celiac (flattened villi with inflammation) and follow-up gene test was positive. After a couple of months at home on the NG tube, I found I was able to eat small amounts of food again with some symptoms but not of the severity I was experiencing previously. It seemed as if the time spent on the tube in addition to the gluten-free diet had allowed some healing to take place. I was able to eat enough to maintain my weight and came off the tube completely. My symptoms are similar now to when I came off the tube about 6 weeks ago, but I can cope with it for the moment until it heals fully. It has been a very difficult year but I'm pleased to see some progress now. Currently, however, I am having problems tolerating food in the morning. I had been having Tesco gluten-free cornflakes with milk for breakfast and finding that OK, however I think the recipe may have been changed as the texture/taste became more coarse and I suddenly noticed the symptoms were considerably worse after eating them and upset my stomach for the rest of the day. I tried gluten-free rice krispies and milk, again without success. I am not lactose intolerant as milk and cheese don't cause problems for me and milk actually seems to settle my stomach in the morning, as when I tried toast on its own, it was much worse than milk and cereal. Has anyone had similar issues early in the day or got any tips or advice for what to eat/drink with Celiac/intestinal inflammation in the morning? Thank you for your help.
    • My doctor suspects Coeliac Disease ?
Several conditions other than Celiac, can elevate ttg readings including autoimmune diseases, a parasitic disease/infection etc. Also for some patients the ttg can be a false positive. Which is why I think its helpful to have the full panel, to make an interpretation.  Your GI/Gut specialistic can run the full panel on the NHS.  Which is what they did for me before the biopsy.
    • Biopsy confirmed?
Several conditions can cause increased lymphocytes in the duodenum including Celiac.  The blood test will help confirm /rule out Celiac. If your villi is normal along with negative celiac blood test, then this would make celiac unlikely. Do you know which blood test has been requested now and two years ago?  Its possible that something could have been missed if the full celiac blood panel was not run.

Hello cycling lady, have you noticed my picture is showing up as you?  Have no idea why but it's rather disconcerting to see my picture and your words 😉  Do you know how to fix it?  You seem to have far more experience with this board than I do

Hi There, I don't know if there is a place for videos in the forum. I just watched "The Truth About Gluten" I think it is a good video. I would like to share it somewhere but don't know where it should go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the link if you have never watched it.
