......on to the scope tomorrow!  I'm not sure to be happy that the biopsy was negative for DH and hold out hope she doesn't have Celiac, or be upset we still have to go through with the scope....or both.....

Any advice on how to make the procedure and 'recovery' easier on her?  She is 2 1/2...

Bring her favorite stuffed animal or doll. If the nurses are willing, they can pretend to take its blood pressure, listen to its heart, and have it try the gas mask on before doing those things to your daughter. We had great nurses who even put a band-aid on my daughter's stuffed animal after pretending to take out its IV. My daughter thought it was hilarious, and it definitely relaxed her.

I hope it goes well tomorrow!

I'm sorry! I was hoping that the result would come back from the rash so you didn't have to do the scope! I wish I had advice but we don't have our scope until July 3rd for my little guy (6) and I have no idea what to expect really. I don't know if he's going to be in pain afterwards or not or even really how long we're going to be there from start to finish. I think I need to put in another phone call and ask these questions.

I'm hoping it's like all the other surgeries we've had the last couple times we've gone in....where they give him the stuff to make him all loopy and then after that kicks in...then they do all the other stuff! He's my tough guy though. Needles only bother him a little bit. None of the screaming and carrying on that his 2 older siblings used to do! Those two made it sound like they were being tortured beyond belief. Little guy just asks what they're doing and says ow. So different!

Good luck tomorrow! Hope everything goes smoothly and she isn't in any discomfort!

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
