I was wondering how people's reactions to gluten have differed from say casein reaction.  I have had casein reactions that have lasted about three days, with asthma and general dehydration the main symptoms.  Having not been glutened for years (yes, two years) I was surprised to be eating chips which normally I am ok with, but with these I could actually taste the gluten - they had been fried in oil which had also fried batter.  I nearly fell asleep at the table at the restaurant.  Then later that night and the next day had an awful stomach.  Put on 2.5 lbs of water and had dreadful kidney pain and puffiness over the next two weeks until I had acupuncture today.  Is this normal for a glutening?
