tTG IgA <1 value <4

IgA 67 range 81-463 (low)

tTG IgG 4 value <6

Prior to testing I was gluten light for several months to gluten-free for 3 wks to gluten light for 3wks to gluten heavy for 2 wks

Any thoughts?

Because of your low IgA, all celiac tests using IgA will be essentially invalid and useless. You don't make enough IgA to register positive IgA celiac tests.

Your tTG IgG is negative but it is in the upper half of the range. It is possible that if you had been eating more gluten prior to testing but the only way to know for sure is to extend your gluten challenge.

You might want to request the DGP IgG, or even the older AGA IgG. Those test are different enough that they might pick up antibodies.

Right now, I would say that it looks like you most likely do not have celiac but basing that on only one test makes it less than a sure thing. You could have non-celiac gluten intolerance (NCGI) in which case you will have negative blood tests and biopsy yet feel as poorly as a celiac. Going gluten-free is the solution to both.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
