Tonight was the kids Christmas program and afterwards we had our first gluten-free restaurant experience.  Nothing fancy just TGI Fridays, my daughter was happy they had a gluten free menu! She happily ate a 1/2 rack of ribs and some mashed potatoes.  I also found out that we have a gluten-free bakery a block away! I ordered 3 dozen cookies for her to take to school for their christmas party, the price was a little more then the local grocery store but not much. I'm really happy that she wont have to skip a treat on Friday! We are slowly but surely getting use to the gluten-free lifestyle!

It always is such a relief once you get over some initial hurdles and experiences.  I am glad my favorite gluten-free bakery is about 30 minutes away or I would be there everyday getting fat!  :)

Aww, that's great. Always makes us Moms happy when our kiddos aren't left out of the party.

I stopped by our gluten-free restaurant/bakery today to get each of my kids a gorgeous snowman cookie.  The oldest gets to take hers to school tomorrow for the winter party.  While all the other kids get Krispy Kreme snowmen she's going to have a fantastic cookie that won't send to to the loo!  LOVE options to keep my kids "normal."

Undiagnosed, but I'm positive that I'm the genetic link to celiac for my kids.  Gluten Free in solidarity of my girls!

Kid 1 (9 y/o girl) - DX celiac via blood in 9/2013 (age 7.5).  Negative biopsy in 10/2013.

Kid 2 (5 y/o boy) - DX as "latent celiac" via blood in 9/2013 (age 3.5).  Negative biopsy in 10/2013.

Kid 3 (3 y/o girl) - DX celiac via blood in 8/2013 (age 1.5) and 9/2013.
