I was diagnosed with dermititis herpaformis by a skin biopsy and blood test was negative for celiac. I was told by my dr. to get on a gluten free diet. Does this mean I have celiac disease. Been off of gluten for a year and have lower abdominal pain when I eat spicy foods. Just swallowed the camera pill to see my small intestine and everything came back normal. So why the pain??

If you are diagnosed with dh, you have been diagnosed with celiac disease.

If your stomach gets upset from eating spicy foods - peppers - you may gave a capsicum intolerance.
