I am trying to understand the gene test for my daughter and I.

I was tested through Labcorp:

DQA1*01:ARSW, 05:01

DQB1*02:01, 05:04

Daughter, through Enterolab

HLA-DQB1 Allele 1 0504

HLA-DQB1 Allele 2 0402

HLA-DQ 1,4 (subtype 5,4)

My labcorp results show I am DQ2/DQ1 positive.  The alpha is also listed as positive on my results.  Does this mean I also carry the half-gene (I do not understand the alpha portion).  Also, since my daughter wasn't tested for the alpha portion, could I have also passed on the alpha portion and we missed it with the gene test through Enterolab?  My daughter has the DQ1 gene (which I understand is a "gluten sensitive" gene) from me and is definitely gluten sensitive and on the gluten-free diet, but I am wanting to understand her risk for celiac?  I am diagnosed with celiac already.

Thanks to all for your help!!
