Paris is relatively easy compared to North America I find. Try the macaons, too (not macaroons). We stumbled across a few wondrous bakery treats and fabulous Parisian restaurants. We did breakfasts on our own (groceries and markets). I second David Lebowitz's blog. He has excellent suggestions, including where to find those unctuous eclairs! You will have an amazing time.
