Colonic For Severe Constipation

I wanted to share my positive experience getting a colonic a couple days ago. I get them periodically and they always help me tremendously. I have tended toward C for several years but I never had such problems until my food intolerances started... gluten was only the beginning for me. Now as I determine which foods are safe for me, I get severe C whenever I ingest something my body really doesn't like, then I have trouble getting things going again.

I went in for my colonic feeling like I wanted to die and looking terrible, and left feeling so much better, as I always do. The next day I look so much healthier. Today no more dark circles under my eyes and acne nearly gone.

For me, I am not able to get this result any other way, I've tried everything. I believe a healthy gut is one of the most important things for good health, and that a toxic gut causes illness. For anyone who can maintain healthy movement, that's great, but for anyone who still has trouble after trying absolutely everything, I wanted to share my experience.

When I do have an occasional colonic I always double up on my probiotics for the day. I have my usual dose in the morning, then I repeat it at dinnertime.

I realize this can be a controversial subject and everyone has their own opinion. From experience I can tell you that it's just plain water flowing into and out of the colon to cleanse any toxic buildup and any blockage. I hope and I believe that eventually my colon will be functioning normally again and can do it's job completely on it's own. Until then, this has been a huge help to me when nothing else works.

I'm glad you found something to help you keep things moving. :) I've thought about trying that but I've been too chicken. LOL

Thanks for sharing.   This might be something I will look into.  I have always been more on the C spectrum than the D and it seems no matter how hard ( haha) I try to stay on top of it, I am never normal.  Where does one go to get a colonic?

It's usually listed under Colon Hydrotherapy, and it's individual practitioners that do the procedure. They are sometimes in their own office or they sometimes share space with a Naturopathic Doctor. The practitioner I go to has an International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) logo on her website, so I'm including a link for that - you can look up practitioners by state. Mine uses an electric massager over my colon during the session and it really helps. I would ask if they use one of those.

Thank you and I am aware that I should be eating a "normal" diet until tested it's kind of been trial and error for my diet or more like just ERROR! I about 1-3 bites a meal I'm to a point that 99 percent of the time I'm having trouble swallowing just about everything occasionally I find either something or a very small window of time that allows me to get very little of something! I am basically getting zero nutrition what so ever because I take one bite of the meal that I usually just slaved over just to end up tossing it when it's all said and done...did anyone else ever experience anything like this?  I am more then open to suggestions! It is taking a very extreme toll on me and my body forsure

No! Do not start the gluten free diet until you know whether or not you will be having an endoscopy/biopsy to verify the blood antibody test results. Starting gluten free eating ahead of either form of diagnostic testing can invalidate the results. You don't want to allow the villous lining of the small bowel to experience healing ahead of testing by removing gluten.

We offer a ton of recipes here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/gluten-free-recipes/ and have done some articles on fast food places, but keep in mind that eating out is a common source of gluten contamination: https://www.celiac.com/search/?q=fast food&quick=1&type=cms_records2 Many colleges now offer allergen-friendly, and sometimes gluten-free options in their student cafeterias: https://www.celiac.com/search/?&q=colleges&type=cms_records2&quick=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy PS - Look into GliadinX, which is a sponsor here, but many studies have been done on it which show that it may break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines.
