High Calcium Levels And Celiac?

Hello,

Have there been any studies or reports of people with celiac disease and high Calcium levels in the blood ?  thank you, pasquale

Just had some blood work done, found out my calcium level was high, 11.3 range is 8.6-10.2. I have been gluten-free for the last 12 years right after my diagnosis of Celiac Disease, just wondering if Celiac could directly affect blood level calcium?? Had adrenal gland test , everything came back okay...would like to hear if anyone has had something similar,,,thanks, pasquale

Did the Doctor suggest a Parathyroid evaluation?  After 12 years gluten free I wouldn't think Celiac to be a cause, IMO.

I second gluten-free lover's suggestion to test for parathyroid. High calcium levels are significantly more dangerous then high-cholesterol, although there is much less awareness about it! http://blog.parathyr...-calcium-risks/

 

One thing you should for sure do is drink half a gallon of water daily to help prevent kidney stones from developing.
