ener-G has an egg replacer also

It's my limited understanding that egg does many things in a recipe. If you are just using it as a binder then you can use applesauce or banana. If you need it for rising (usually when you need to use 3 or more) then you need to use baking soda (I think). I hope that helped.

This is what we use...

Baking

For each egg, substitute one of the following in recipes:

    * 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 T. liquid, 1 T. vinegar

    * 1 tsp. yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water

    * 1 1/2 T. water, 1 1/2 T. oil, 1 tsp. baking powder

    * 1 packet gelatin, 2 T. warm water. Do not mix until ready to use.

These substitutes work well when baking from scratch and substituting 1 to 3 eggs.

3-4 tsp ground flax seeds

1/3 cup water

combine in saucepan

bring to boil

reduce to low and simmer 5-7 minutes stirring lots.

equals one egg, for baking or french toast.

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
