Restaurant Recommendations In Denver, Co?

Every year our family goes to Denver to watch the parade of lights and we love it. We always stop on the way and get pizza and before the parade get hot chocolate. Does anyone know of safe places to eat gluten free in Denver for a family of 5...including a 3 year old?

Thanks!

No, I don't!  But, I thought I would bump this, as I would really like that info, also.

Thanks for bumping this! Will you be going to the parade? It's so fun. I've looked into it and haven't found any completely gluten free places in Denver. I'm so hoping someone will recommend something. I really want to keep this tradition going.

I was fine at Ted Montana grill as well as Tamayo. Don't eat the chips at Tamayo as the fryer is used for breaded items. Enjoy your trip!

Edited to add: these are not fully gluten free places. Try Find Me Gluten Free app.

Which direction are you coming from? There are some great places but they are all on the outskirts. Downtown there is a P.F. Changs, Cheesecake Factory and Old Spagetti Factory. Probably the last 2 are best for a 3  yr old. Not having kids I haven't been to the 2 factory restaurants. If your driving in I can recommend some great places but honestly downtown I've never had any luck.

The following are listed on Find Me Gluten Free with high ratings -

Gluten Escape, 4403 S. Tamarac Pkwy 103

City, O' City, 206 E 13th Ave

Pizza Fusion, 571 E Colfax

Watercourse Foods, 837 E 17th Ave Pkwy

There a lot of places listed - I just chose a few with the higher ratings.

Thanks gilligan...I will have to look into those. See where they are, if they're open when we'll be there and what they offer.

Please post a review when you return.  I'll be there next summer.  Enjoy your trip.

I will. And while you're in Colorado, if you go to Colorado Springs there's a great gluten free restaurant called Coquettes Bistro.

The parade was last night...on the way we stopped at Gluten Escape. It's a gluten and nut free bakery. Perfect for our family as 2 kids also have a peanut allergy. We each got something different so we tried 5 things in total and everything was yummy. It was so nice to eat somewhere that we would all be safe.

For those monitoring this thread, here are some options:

  • Panzano (higher-end, owner has Celiac)
  • PF Chang's, 15th and Market (near free shuttle stop)
  • Chipotle, multi
  • Maggiano's (middle of 16th St pedestrian mall, near theater)
  • Spaghetti Factory (have not been to this location)
  • BTW, Coor's Field has one dedicated gluten-free food outlet on the main concourse, limited selection, but ALL gluten-free choices incl beer.

Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
