Tiny Red Itchy Bumps On Hand Joints And Foot

PreGF occasionally I'd get one somewhere on my hands. Almost tiny blisters. If itched enough clear fluid came out then they'd start going away. Well, over the course of today I have one (red spot no blister) on the ball of my foot and ten+ on my hand joints. Also have a sore on the side of my tongue. All since last night when in woke up with my tongue hurting. Feel pretty normal otherwise minus some sinus issues I've had for a week. Only a month gluten-free so I'm wondering if it's celiac related. My face broke out like crazy about two weeks ago. So strange. Any ideas or suggestions of what to do for them? So annoyingly itchy/sore.

Have you had your vitamin levels tested?  Sometimes when certain vitamins are too low or high they can cause these symptoms.  Either way, when something is very different, a visit to the doctor is in order.  If you are on any new medications, check to see if that is a known side effect of one, as well.

I haven't had them tested recently because my insurance wouldn't cover it. In past yrs I've been vit D and B def. I'm taking a womens multi and a sublingual B. Nothing crazy. I can't afford another dr appt right now. I've googled and see a connection with my bumps and gluten. Trying to figure out what I'm doing "wrong".

While I've never had what you are describing my food allergies give me all kinds of skin issues. I would say that you may be getting gluten somewhere that you are missing or that you may be intolerant or allergic to more than gluten which is very common. Are you keeping a food diary? Going gluten free isn't easy and it takes a long time to learn what all has gluten in it (which at times can seem like everything!)

I had sores in my mouth before I was DX'd. It's been over a year I don't remember the date since Gluten Free , it may be two years now. But I am no longer getting sores. I used to break out in hives on a daily baises. I don't have to take two zyrtec a day anymore. It takes a long time for your body to repair it's self from the damage. I think you have to give your body time to heal. It takes more than a couple of months.

Sounds like you are in the UK. With blood numbers that high, I thought docs in UK would give an official diagnosis without the biopsy. You should ask about that, so you can get support faster.  I'd try to find and print out anything that supports that in your country, get another appointment and take all of it with you. Even in the US now, some docs are doing this, my 19 year old step granddaughter got an official diagnosis here in US with just blood results a few months ago.

Is soy sauce in Korea also made from wheat like it usually is in US? I'd be concerned that even if asking about gluten, they would not be aware of or think of some like that.

That's a good idea. It can at least establish the potential for developing celiac disease and can help people decided between a celiac diagnosis and NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity). And it doesn't require a gluten challenge and can be had without a doctor's prescription.

I have my endoscopy on Thursday, has anyone had the procedure done with a cough? I don't have a continuous cough, but every now and then throughout the day I have sort of coughing episodes. They are a lot better than they were but I called endoscopy and they said to speak to my gp and my gp got back to me and said I need to ask endoscopy if its ok if I have it done still.  Help!

Thank you so much, everyone. For the moment my doctor just has me taking iron but hopefully we can reconnect soon. I'm going to look into genetic testing, too. Great advice all around and I appreciate it--and you can bet I'm going off the PPIs!
