Hi all,
I know that there are some Progresso soups that we can eat. I know in general, we're taught to question anything that says chicken (or vegetable, or beef) broth. But Progresso is one of the companies that will label wheat, barley, rye, or oats in no uncertain terms. So theoretically, of the chicken broth in a Progresso soup contained wheat, it would say chicken broth (contains WHEAT)?
And so if it just says chicken broth or chicken stock, we can assume it's okay? I know the best bet is to read the ingredients, but I was wondering if anyone has a list of Progresso soups that are okay, so I at least have a place to start looking!
Thanks!!!

This is from the delphi list:
Progresso (800-200-9377) (7/07/04) (www.generalmills.com)
All ingredients will be listed on the label because their recipes might change. Ingredients will be clearly labeled "wheat,
barley or rye" and not hidden. Tomato products are made on totally separate lines from the soups (which contain gluten)
Progresso "New" "Rich & Hearty New England Clam Chowder" chunky style (VP-8/24/04) gluten free. Caution! their "Traditional
New England Clam Chowder" is NOT gluten free.
Hugs.

I am so glad to hear that progresso rich and hearty clam chowder is gluten-free, it is my husb favorite! I also just found it in walmart for $1.50. That over a dollar savings per can than in my supermarket!

I like the Chicken Wild Rice in the microwave container - perfect to keep in my desk at work. I did call Progresso and was assured it was gluten free and any products containing wheat would be clearly labeled.
