Check out the Baxter web site at Baxter Glutamine. This is the product that I use. It is great for healing the gut.

Glutamine is classified as a "non-essential amino acid." This label may mislead some people into believing that we don't need it. But, in essence, "non-essential" means only that the body can synthesize this amino acid. It does not mean "unimportant."


There is a really good (but long) article about the benefits of glutamine at the link above. Glutamine is an amino acid. The article explains all of the things it does in our bodies and the health benefits.
