Ive had a bit of a search but im a bit hopeless with boards like this, i was wondering if someone could point me to where i can find out hidden gluten like in shampoo and lotions etc. Im not sure what Im looking for in the ingredients lists

what products are you trying to figure out? maybe someone on here can tell you if they know if the product is safe or not.

Im in New Zealand, so Im guessing product ingredients might be a bit different so I was hoping to find out the names of the ingredients...But its mainly my shampoo and make up that im worried about. The main ones I use are "tresemme" shampoo and conditioner, "st ives" face moisturiser, "rimmel" face powder

This is the reply that I received from Redken. I believe it is a list of the terms that cosmetic companies use that contain gluten. It does say International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary - so it may apply in New Zealand. I would still recommend contacting each company to confirm, but this might be a start for you. Hope that helps

The following list of ingredients that are used in our products, are those that contain wheat and other grains. This list may also be used by the celiac patient to identify gluten-containing ingredients. This list gives the standard industry names for ingredients as found in the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary.

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
