Does anyone ever feel this way?

Sometimes I run to bathroom, like i have to go poop but i sit there and NOTHING comes out. The feeling is there like i have to go, but nothing comes out, no matter what i do. Other times I do go, and have a normal poop but after, I still feel like i need to go more, but nothing is there?

Anyone have this problem?

Lemonade

( sorry for the grossness)

Don't worry about the grossness of the question - if you look at other posts you'll see many poop related ones.

And, yes - this happens to me a lot. Then sometimes I have the opposite problem of just, say, sitting here at work and it's like NOW, gotta go NOW - get out of my way.... Neither one is fun, but the urgent ones drive me crazy!!

God I HATE that. I used to get that ALL the time. It seems to have gone away as I get more and more gluten-free. I always have to run though, because sometimes its NOT a false alarm.

Hey Lemonade, How did you make out the other day with your date? Did you de-bloat in time?

Yep, I learned the hard way that it was better to run to the bathroom, than hope it was just going to pass !!!!

I can laugh now, but I was seriously embarrassed a few times. My "D" has stopped since going gluten free. Marcia

So, I contacted Scott Adams, the author of that article and also the creator/admin of this website, and pointed out to him the need to clarify the information in the paragraph in question. He has now updated the paragraph and it is clear that the DGP-IGA does serve the purpose of circumventing the false negatives that IGA deficiencies can generate in the tTG-IGA antibody test.

Has anyone experimenced enlarged lymph nodes with celiac? Both in the neck and groin area. Imaging of both areas have said that lymph nodes are reactive in nature. However, they have been present for months and just wondering how long this may take to go down. Been gluten-free for about two months. Blood counts are normal.

Hmm interesting I just assumed that any “IGA” tests including the DPG iga would be negative in a person who is IGA deficient but maybe that is not the case for the DPG test.

If you were just diagnosed I can say that if you go 100% gluten-free should should see dramatic improvement of your symptoms over the next few months, but the hard part is to stay gluten-free. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
