I love bittersweet chocolate that has no dairy or wheat in it. Its usually the stuff that indicates the percentage of chocolate in the bar like 70% or more *drool*. But I seem to always react to it with an odd feeling in the tum and a bit of diarrhea the next day. Could my body play so fouly with me by denying me chocolate? Anyone else have an issue with chocolate?

if you have trouble with soy, that may be the culprit. there are a handful of soy free chocolates out there, by specialty makers. I don't know them, but a couple other people on the board do.

I tried enjoy life's chocolate kisses that is gluten-free, dairy-free, casein free, soy free, egg free, nut free and still reacted to the chocolate. So my guess is that I am intolerant to chocolate or maybe cocoa- sad but true. Maybe your is a soy intolrance, try enjoy life's chocolate kisses- i got them from Mrs. Greens.

I've tried several. Some from Trader Joe's. They're made from regional cocoa beans from Ecuador and another country. Sort of fancy, schmancy chocolate. I don't believe there was any soy listed on the label, but I'll have to go back and look. I don't react badly to soy sauce (without the gluten), so I have a feeling it probably is the chocolate. Life is cruel! Cruel, I say!
