Hi, I hope someone can help me out. I am looking for a Dr. within the NYC area (preferably Manhattan) that is familiar with Celiac disease and treating it. I appreciate any help somebody can give.

Dr. Peter Green is the best Celiac Dr in NYC. He is the Director of the Celiac Disease Center At Columbia uptown. The # is 212-305-5590. I would just be sure that he takes your insurance first b/c he is very expensive otherwise.

I just tried to get an appointment with Dr. Green and can't get one until Sept.. Any other suggestions in the nyc and phil. area?

You can try Dr Samuel Cho. He is located on 37th near 1st ave. After years of being told I only had IBS, he figured out to test for celiac disease right off the bat. Very nice gut with an excellent office staff too. Be prepared for a busy office though.
