If its made in the US, its probably corn starch....does it say where the starch came from?
Did you call the company?

Yea Vincent, if it didn't say what kind of starch they used, it is probably corn. I think you'll be fine--now don't worry yourself sick

Yes Vincent, Big K Soda's are safe... it's modified CORN starch... relax!
I DID however have a problem with the artificial flavors in a Dollar General soda...

Cant till monday. Big K is put out by "Inter American Products" who is one of the suppliers of store brand food products, and usaually I can only find out about ther stuff by calling Krogers dietation and they have a data base they can look it up in. But htey only on staff m-f durring hte mid day hours.

I thought it was always wheat unless stated otherwise. I seen Modifed Cornstarch Starch in things, but never Modified Wheat Starch?

MADE IN THE US it should ALWAYS be corn if it just says Modified Food Starch... it's when it is made in other countries that you have to be careful. With the new labeling laws if it is wheat it has to say it like this Modified Food Starch ( WHEAT)

you are always better off safe than sorry... so don't feel silly... I'm sure I've done equally silly things because of this diet.

Help
I saw "Strawberry Soda" for 59 cents per 2 liter, "Big K Brand", and I was like that sounds good. So I bought it (I often buy thier diet cafine free cola soda for a cheap drink). Poured a cup, took a drink and was almost knocked over by how sticky sweet it was, so I looked at the ingredients... MODIFIED FOOD STACH.
