i'm reading a lot about all these diets, i believe i have celiac, i have every symptom and feel much better in the past three days of eating absolutely no gluten and using no wheat products on my face or anything, than i have in a while...any ways back to the diet thing...has anyone heard of Dr. Mercola's no grain diet...or his new book Dr. Mercola's total health program? From what i saw he cuts out all grains...he had like 150 recipes for no grain meals...and talks about why they are bad...it kinda reminded me of the scd thing, and i was just wondering if anyone had any other info on it, if anyone has tried it or could give me more info...wondering what the difference is between them. Thanks! I'm praying for everyone on this site!

God Bless,

Monique

I haven't heard of that one specifically, but I've been reading more and more about grains being bad. I'm currently trying the SCD so might go over to look at some of the recipes.

By-the-way, thanks for praying for me! :)

I started restricting my total grain intake a couple of months ago. I eat mostly fruit, veggies, meat and fish. I am celiac and also have DH. While the celiac diet cleared up my problems, everything from neuro to GI, I was still getting DH sores and it was almost impossible to get them to totally clear. I always had at least one that was active. They are now totally gone. For the first time since I was 5 years old I do not have an open, oozing, ugly sore somewhere on my body. I am not as vehement about all grains as I am about gluten but it seems to have done me a great deal of good to eat like a omnivorous animal rather than a bird. <_<:D

Through trial and error these past 9 months gluten-free, I have cut out all of the other grains, except sorghum, which I only eat once or twice a week--and never 2 days in a row. Eliminating gluten only worked fine initally, but the other intollerances soon made themselves known. I do best with meats, veggies, fruits, nuts (not peanuts), olive oil, pure water and dark chocolate as a treat. I find that grains--corn and rice --tend to cause gas and bloating. Soy is also a problem, and peanuts because they are related to soy. I don't follow any formal diet, but I think, from what I read, that what I eat is close to the "Caveman" type diet. I am not perfectly rigid in it, but stick to this way of eating 95% of the time.

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
