Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Quaker mini rice cakes in the cheddar flavor are gluten free- I didn't really see any problem ingredients but I just want to make sure.
Thanks!
Jennifer

Quaker says that NONE of their products are gluten-free because they process so many other grains. Sorry.
Alright, don't worry even if things end up a bit too heavy

Try Lundberg Rice Cakes.
Also, I've had a brand called Koyo or something like that, but I think they may only be in Canada.
Both are good and I haven't had any CC issues.
Good luck!!

Yep Lundberg are good. I would stay away from Quacker due to cc issues.

where do you get the lundberg rice cakes?
I've seen them at Sun Harvest (Wild Oats), Whole Foods, Randall's (Safeway), and any other small health food stores I've been to.
They're good, too! They're heartier and have a better texture than quaker.

In the pacific northwest, I can get them at Safeway, QFC, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Larry's, and the smaller health food stores as well.

Definately stay away from Quaker! We have tried them twice, both the regular and minis, and my little girl had reactions both times. So now, we only eat Lundberg. The buttery caramel ones are pretty good, but they do fall apart quite easily. I always have to vacuum the whole house after my kids have walked around eating rice cakes!

I am not really celiac but have some kind of wheat problem that seems to be 100% better since staying away from wheat products for 2 weeks.
but what I definately am is diabetic (type II)
I suffer from a snack withdrawl since I am addicted to junk food snacks and I have had nothing for the last 2 weeks. I like that crunch that rice cakes give so I bought the flavoured rice cakes.
Now normal rice dishes are not a problem. I usually eat basmati rice and feel comfortable.
Rice cakes though send my blood sugar through the roof. Just 2 rice cakes are a way too much for me. As much as I like the flavours, rice cakes are a no-no for me.
