Carla, that's great news about the story! Make sure they let you read the final draft so it isn't distorted by editors that don't understand...

Good suggestion. The editor-in-chief was interested because his mother has Lyme. :)

Carla did you notice on the Enula when you started passing the worms, and how long? This happened after 3 weeks on Enula and Humaworm, but I am suspicious that it was the SCD that tipped the scales in killing the beasties.

I don't remember. Maybe the SCD was the final straw for them. Maybe it was the better BM's that helped you pass them.

Mine were pretty well digested, too .... but not enough that I couldn't tell which were round and which were flat ... some parts were like what you describe.

The first tapeworm, except for being broken into about 6 in pieces, was pretty intact. It was very clear what it was. First time I saw it, I estimate it was 4 ft of pieces. Yuck.

I still get nauseous when I see a worm .... it's so ... so ... I can't think of a word that adequately describes how it is for someone who is a perfectionist to have worms! Adam gets a kick out of it .... house must be clean ... but I have worms! You always think of poor, dirty cultures having worms.

Rachel, they posted a different version of that encounter on the Silly thread .... yours is a better film. That is really cool.

I think the song choice was good...it went along with the moment. I watched it like 10 times! I showed it to my mom and she had big tears in her eyes at the end.

My friend in Germany sent it to me. :)

Speaking of Germany....

What do you think about G's report on the bionic 880?? Are you ready to go to Germany yet? :P

I think its pretty exciting...I cant wait to talk to Scott about it. I'm curious about whether Dr. K or anyone else will take interest in it. That would be awesome if we can have more machines over here! :)

Everyone,

I had a revelation yesterday. I am toxic lmao. I started an bad habit back up last wednesday when my ss got into trouble and lots of things going on. Well the first few days i was feeling fine. Well on monday I had an cigarette and got sick. Then I tried again yesterday like 4 times(yes im a little slow lo) and finally realized the toxins were going to kill me.

Paula....cigarettes are filled with toxins. You get the mold toxins....plus cadmium (cigarette smoke) and a bunch of other toxic junk. I know cadmium is an issue for me. It was high in my hair analysis and its showed up in every test since then...including my RBC test.

Here are some good reasons to kick the habit for good.

Cadmium and several cadmium-containing compounds are known carcinogens and can induce many types of cancer.

Zinc and cadmium are in the same group on the periodic table, contain the same common oxidation state (+2), and when ionized are almost the same size. Due to these similarities, cadmium can replace zinc in many biological systems, in particular, systems that contain softer ligands such as sulfur.

Cadmium can bind up to ten times more strongly than zinc in certain biological systems, and is notoriously difficult to remove. In addition, cadmium can replace magnesium and calcium in certain biological systems, although these replacements are rare.

Tobacco smoking is the most important single source of cadmium exposure in the general population. It has been estimated that about 10% of the cadmium content of a cigarette is inhaled through smoking. The absorption of cadmium from the lungs is much more effective than that from the gut, and as much as 50% of the cadmium inhaled via cigarette smoke may be absorbed.

On average, smokers have 4-5 times higher blood cadmium concentrations and 2-3 times higher kidney cadmium concentrations than non-smokers.

Cadmium has no constructive purpose in the human body. It, and its compounds, are extremely toxic even in low concentrations, and will bioaccumulate in organisms and ecosystems.

Also, my understanding is that cadmium increases the toxicity of mercury....and when both are present in the gut it can be very damaging to the intestinal lining.

I had to stop smoking because yeah....my body could no longer handle those toxins. My bucket was already overflowing. :(

Ok so I ordered the AFP Pepitzyde- from the place rachel orders her enzymes so I wil be trying it and preying that it helps because eating for me is really hard right now.

Mia,

AFP Peptizyde by itself wont help with alot of different foods. That enzyme is formulated specifically for breaking down gluten and casein....but it also breaks down other proteins as well. It has high amounts of DPPIV....which is necessary for digesting gluten and casein.

So it wont help with carbs, fats, fruits, veggies, lactose, etc....for all of those other things you would need additional enzymes.

I'm off the gluten free/casein free diet so thats why I chose the Peptizyde...but I also take other enzymes.

If you're not on any other type of enzyme I would highly recommend it to help with the other foods. :)

Im thinking i should order some zeolite.

I think that might be a good choice for you since you still have mercury fillings.

I think it worked wonders for Lisa because she does still have fillings and her system was constantly overwhelmed....so I imagine the zeolite is addressing alot of that toxicity that is circulating in the bloodstream.

I havent had dramatic results like that but I also dont have my fillings anymore and I think I've greatly reduced my exposure to toxins in the past few years by choosing organic foods, avoiding chemicals, quit smoking, etc.

But zeolite gets to the mercury, arsenic, cadmium, etc.

I'll probably be taking it for awhile since I know I'm still toxic with this stuff. I seem to tolerate it really well so far. The only downside is the cost. :(

Rachel this was my cadium score

Cadmium < 0.009 < 0.10

Was this low cause i was off cigs at this time for a couple of months. Or could it been low and that is why my calcium and magnesium were so high? Hmm makes me wonder now!

Its amazing to me that nothing came up last time on ART--how could this not be a stressor to my system?

Sherry,

ART works in layers. If you have other issues which are more significant stressors....those will show up first. Obviously parasites would be a stressor to anyone's system.....but if there are other things which are causing greater stress...the parasites may not show up until some of the other issues are dealt with.

I'm not sure which things were coming up for you in ART....but if parasites werent showing up it probably just means the things that were showing up need to be addressed first.

For example if metals are an issue....they may be a much bigger stressor. In that case even if parasites were to show up you may not be able to treat them effectively as long as the metals are still an issue. The immune system would be too overwhelmed to keep parasites in check.

Aside from one tapeworm....parasites havent shown up for me in ART or in regular muscle testing but it was acknowledged that my gut is a major area of stress....and most likely parasites are an issue. They just arent showing up yet. I think Dr. K. just automatically treats the parasites whether they show up or not.

Its hard to say Paula.

I think its more common for mercury to replace calcium and magnesium. I would tend to blame mercury for that....and it sounds like cadmium is more likely to replace zinc.

Its really difficult to know for sure when it comes to this stuff but in my opinion when our bucket is overflowing its pretty much everything that is contributing...not just one or two things.

I belong to a health club that is a national chain. They have a magazine they send out to all their members. I've been in contact with them hoping they could use me for a success story so that word could get out about Lyme Disease. Well, I heard back today that they are running my story next June! It may be a success story, or they may do a feature on Lyme Disease. :D YAY!

Cool Carla!! You're gonna be a celebrity! :D

I want an autographed copy...ok?? :P

Rachel, how are you doing with the zeolite so far?

So far so good. I havent had any really obvious changes yet. Maybe a little more energy at times (like bouncing off the walls  ) but havent noticed too much overall.

Brainfog isnt a big issue for me unless I eat certain foods..and yeah...that problem hasnt gone away yet. I tested it out already.

I got my zeolite today....

Rachel how are you doing on it? How many drops are you doing?

I was thinking i would start with 3 drops 2 times per day? Lisa do you think that is too small a dose?

I'm doing 30 drops a day. 10 drops 3x a day.

I jumped right into it but you may want to NOT follow my lead and just ease your way into it. :)

How many drops are you taking Rachel? Are you still on 30 or did you lower to dose?

Yeah some kids with autism get a little antsy on it to.

Oh I was going to ask you what your lot number on the bottom of your bottle was?

Toxic

I don't think i am toxic..

Personally, I think we are all toxic as long as we're all living on the same toxic planet.

I dont think a person can be found that doesnt test positive for all kinds of toxins...heavy metals, pesticides, dioxin, PCB's, etc. We're all exposed to it.

Check out the amount of toxins found in the umbilical cords of newborn babaies in this study. Its shocking!

I'm still on 30 drops. :)

I dont know for sure if it was the zeolite that gave me energy because I was eating different foods too. Sometimes when my diet is really restricted I have less energy so that once I start adding in new foods I get more energy.....even if the foods arent necessarily good for me.

It kind of sucks because I definately benefit from having more nutrients in my diet....but then since I'm reacting to the food chemicals (phenols and oxalates) I cant continue eating the foods. :(

Heres the lot #

Is this ok?

I'm doing well on the diet, best thing I have done in a very long time. I don't have any food reactions, I've already lost weight and overall fluid retention (still have some to go though), generally a lot less bloating and stomach issues.

Awesome Julie!! This is really good news. :)

Hey Waiora's coming out with a new machine. It is a biofeedback machine and when you put your hand on it, it's suppose to read how much mercury, arsenic and other toxins are in your body. I wonder if it would really work that good.

It also tells you what nutrients you need and such. They say they work. But I'll have to see. I think if I put my hand on a machine like that IT might start to smoke.:)

We would Rachel the machine with our toxins.

yeah i know is hould be taking something for the other foods but I actually have been trying a little gluten and having mixed reactions I really would love to add it since I react so badly to most gluten free food so thats why I really wanted to try the peptizyde.

Actually, I've been talking to someone else who is also interested in going. There is a mother over there with a child now, so we're waiting to see how this one turns out. G's report on her and her husband is good, but they've also been treating with Dr. K for so long .... I'm wanting to see how it works with someone coming off abx.

I hear A.R. (the nurse) is interested, according to one of the threads on LN ... I do not have that info first hand, so I don't know how accurate it is.

The problem is, it's not FDA or UL approved, so can't be imported yet. People can bring it over if they go to Germany for treatment because it bypasses needing that approval. So, it will be a while before it can be brought here ... most likely.

Cool Carla!! You're gonna be a celebrity! :D

  I'm excited about it ... I didn't think they'd go for it. :D

Thank you so much, everyone. For the moment my doctor just has me taking iron but hopefully we can reconnect soon. I'm going to look into genetic testing, too. Great advice all around and I appreciate it--and you can bet I'm going off the PPIs!

I walk fast for fitness, 4 to 6 km per day. I am also 74 years old. Apart from the Celiac challenge, my lifestyle is healthy. I had a sciatiac nerve pinching under my one foot, with inflamation in my whole shin. It was almost cured, when the other shin started paining and burning. I do stretches, use a natural cooling gel and rest my feet. Can Celiac cause muscle pains/inflamation, or is it just over-excercising?

I recently started shopping at a nearby Trader Joe's store. I was surprised at the number and variety of (healthy) gluten-free options sold there. I must admit their low prices are also quite tempting. However, I am curious as to the labeling on all their packages. While none of their products are certified as gluten-free, many are identified as 'GLUTEN FREE' on the packaging. Are these items safe for celiacs? Has anyone tried Trader Joe's products and have there been any adverse reactions?

HI, my doctor suggested one week of consuming gluten before blood tests.  I have been gluten free for 3 years.  Has anyone been through this and will I get exact results after one week of consuming gluten?  I don't even know if I can do this, if I get sick I am not sure if I can continue, any suggestions??  Thanks in advance.
