Medications what i am taking does it have gluten in it? Rate Topic: -----

ok guys i know you are smart so tell me is there a list i can look for gluten free perscrptions and over the counter drugs because i took sudefed for a cold and two days later there was a topic on here saying that it had gluten in it. and now i am on mucinex and an antibiotic and i think that one of them has gluten and the doctor has no clue and my mom forgot to ask the pharmisist. so can anyone help me?

You should be able to call the manufacturer and ask them. I don't know off the top of my head......hm...but I did hear a speaker recently that said that most tablets are made with potato starch or corn starch. But liquids could still have wheat starch. I would just call the 1-800 number on the box if I were you.

THEN found out that my fathers mother had nontropical sprue, she passed away at 40 from (stomach) cancer, had holes in her intestines when they caught it. I had no idea....

There are medication lists but if they are not name brand you should either call the manufacturer directly or call the pharmacy and they can find out or give you info on how you can find out.
