Sometime earlier this year, I started having a reaction to the Crest Whitening Expressions line of toothpastes. Every single one of the flavors make my mouth red, feel swollen, and it feels like a thousand tiny needles are pricking my gums and under my tongue. I have read on this forum (somewhere) that all Crest toothpastes are gluten free, so I don't know what to make of this.
I can use their other toothpastes with no problem.
Has anyone else had a reaction to this particular line? Any ideas what it might be if not gluten-related?

yes, I can't use that line either - give me little blister things on my tongue (canker soar like things). Any cinnamon toothpaste does that too to me (any brand), so not sure what it is. I use Colgate Total or Crest regular whitening (not the new flavor blaster kinds) and am fine with those.

You may well be reacting to the ingredients they use for whitening. Not everyone can tolerate them.

I loved the Cinnamon Crest Expressions, but it also gave me a red rash around my mouth. I've never had a problem with any other whitening toothpaste, so I think it's something in that particular kind. I never had a gluten-like reaction, though, so I think it's just some weird ingredient. Too bad, too, because I really liked them!
