Gluten In Lipstick

Have any of you ladies had problems with lipstick? I have yet to find one that the manufacturers will say is gluten-free. The long-lasting ones will, more than likely, contain gluten. Please let me know if any of you have researed this.

Thanks,

Pat

:) check out Mary Kay... I was at a local support group last year and a Mary Kay saleswoman was there to let us know they offered gluten-free products. Mary Kay manufactures all their own products and will guarantee them. My saleswoman researched all ingredients and put together a list of products I can and cannot use. I have bought two lipsticks from her and they work great!

I did much research and, although it is pricey, Lancome has a line that is gluten-free and I've been using it for 2 months very happily. Their line is "Rouge Absolu" and it wears very well. It is, I think, about $20. (Yikes!) Also, Burt's Bees makes a lipstick but it was too pepperminty for me and doesn't wear well. Good luck!

After many irritable e-mails, I finally got an answer from Cover Girl that their Outlast lipstick is gluten-free. It doesn't contain fragrance-- that's where lots of the uncertainty lies since they outsource the fragrances & "can't determine" their gluten-free status. God knows they could if they wanted to! But in any case Outlast is safe.

I really like smashbox creamy gloss (has a reddish tint-super creamy) called smashing solar and a top gloss (looks irridessent (sp) called Mood (it's sandy color). Love both-my favorites ...LL

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
