Has anyone else had problems with this supplement? Could I be reacting because I'm just not waiting long enough for it to break down before I eat dairy, or could it be a reaction to the supplement itself?

I've had two lactose-type reactions both times I've used this stuff -- Lactaid works just fine for me.

I've been using Enzymedica's DIGEST GOLD, which seems to be helping me digest things better (based on the quality of my stool.) I don't think I've had any reaction to it, but I'm not positive (I'm pretty newly dx'd, and am still bloated and constipated). I don't eat dairy, though.

good luck.

I take digest gold. At first I thought it gave me a rash on my neck, but now I don't think that was the cause. I think the rash came first.

I stopped using it for a while, but now I'm back on it with no problems. I don't have a problem with lactose, so I don't know about that.

I would trust your body. If it is making you sick then stop using it and return it. My health food store will take supplements back even if they have been used.

I used the Tepnel home gluten test kit on Enzymatica Digest Gold and it recorded a strong positive (greater thatn 10%). I am trying to contact Enzymatica to see what they have to say.

Eroralaeta, did you hear back from Enzymedica regarding their enzymes and gluten content? Are these enzymes safe for celiacs? I started taking Enzymedica V-gest 4 days ago and it looks like I am getting some gluten somewhere. Could it be the enzymes?
Better safe than glutened

Dairy Free / Gluten Free / Soy Free / Corn Free / Mostly Nut Free / Legumes Free
Low histamine / amine / glutamate diet
Restricted animal protein diet
