Hello all-

I have decided that yes I am allergic to wheat and gluten. It has been frusturating and wonderful to find out all at the same time. I am feeling so much better now, but all my questions? I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good vitamin. Thank you !!!

I take GNC vitamins because they say gluten-free right on the label. I know that there are others that are gluten-free, but these are cheap, local (not buying off of the internet), and work for me! Hope that helps. Tiff

I take NatureMade which also say 'Gluten Free' right on the label.

It's a pretty common brand - I got mine at Walgreens and I think I usually see them at the grocery store, too.

I have a myriad of vitamins - multi from BJ's (confirmed gluten-free), calcium from Costco (Kirkland) says gluten-free and confirmed, sundown B12 and folic acid and vit. C and iron - confirmed gluten-free by phone call.

I take Centrum Advanced--I checked, it's gluten-free. There are other Centrum formulas that do contain gluten, so beware of that.

I take the Olay Vitamins "Energy Pack" all Olay vitamins say gluten-free on the box/container but a lot of celiacs cannot digest the hard vitamins so they use the childrens "Gummy Vites" which are also labeled gluten-free. And Viactive Vitamin and Calcium chews are gluten-free.

Hugs

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
