Well, if these are the real values for a real person, then it is fairly obvious this person has celiac disease, as the IgG and IgA are extremely high.

These are a friend I have been emailing,They are her 2 yr old daughters numbers. She is making an appt with a GI. The mothers has believed she had celiac anyway.

Do you know these?

These are Nicole's and I am not too sure on these. But does the IgE have to do with celiac? Or allergies. Nicoles is

272 and the norm is under 30.

Her IgG is 807 and that norm is 400-1300

Her IgA is 73 and the norm is 20-230

Thanks I know I have asked this before

IgE is allergy related. It's pretty odd, because my daughter had a RAST panel done for food allergies, and everything came back negative, but her IgE was off the charts. It should have been (for the specific lab we went through) under 20 and it was in the 170-something range. Upon further testing, they determined she's allergic to milk and wheat, in addition to the other things she was dx with years ago.

The others IgG & IgA are in range for your daughter, but obviously- that may or may not mean anything.

My daughter's numbers were all the highest "normal" they could be, with the exception of the IgG - which was 72, and should have been under 20.

Don't you wish they could just give us answers in plain old English?? :D

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
