I've been on a gluten-free diet for about 6 months, started not feeling any better after awhile :( , so I went off milk products and went to Soy, I still don't feel any better, the usual running to toilet, I feel like I did before I was diagnosed with Celiac, I don't like this!, does anybody have any suggestions?
Should I try to go off of soy and milk products (boy that would suck!)
Or go back to milk and see?
or stop eating all together!, that would solve the runs to the toilet (pardon the pun)

Help!!

Gluten Free and soon to be food free!!

My guess is that you have been getting Gluten from hidden sources.... I KNOW I KNOW!!!

I had the same problem. After 3 months of gluten-free I was still reacting (I have DH) with rash.

I was told by everyone, "you are eating things with hidden gluten" and I didn't believe them and just kept thinking what else I was "allergic" to!

Then one day I decided to be neurotic about what I ate, gluten-wise, and gave up restaurants completely for about 3 months (restaurants are a huge culprit). Guess what? I got better! Now I am very very careful about the content and hidden ingredients of everything I eat. I will eat plain lettuce in a restaurant that I don't know how they cook or that doesn't seem to understand my gluten needs (lack thereof).

Eliminating and re-introducing foods too fast usually just confuses your body and you won't know WHAT you tolerate or don't.......

Have you had tests for Lactose, dairy, soy, etc. intolerance?

I would get really really neurotic about gluten-free first for about 3 months and then eliminate one food at a time for at least 6 weeks and then wait a while before eliminating another.....

What a pain, I know.

Gluten-free works so why keep getting tests?
Neg skin biopsy & Neg bloodwork after gluten-free for 3 months
No Endoscopy - need to eat gluten for good test & won't do it
No other Allergies or major ailments!
