Hi everyone,

I travel fairly often and there's never much I can eat at the airport. As such, I frequently picked up a bag of peanuts or cashews in the airport stores just to have something to munch on.

I went to buy some nuts on a recent trip and reread the ingredients. The most common brand of nuts sold in airports seems to be Snak Club. Well, Snak Club has a new allergy statement on it's packages that says that all of their nuts are made on shared equipment with wheat, soy, etc.

I'm bummed because I could always grab these if desperate, but also because I've probably been getting contaminated for a long time by eating these damn nuts. DOH.

So, bring your own nuts to the airport from now on.

Thanks for the head's-up. It's cheaper to bring your own, too! But there goes another "emergency-nosh".

She made some tarts
All on a summer's day.
The Knave of Hearts,
He stole the tarts
And took them clean away.

Alright, don't worry even if things end up a bit too heavy
We'll all float on, alright
Well we'll float on good news is on the way...

Now we have an excuse to get chocolate with our peanuts.

I just did my first travelling since going gluten-free.
How frustrating! My gate was directly across from a Cinnabon. YUM. Well I was starving so I went over there to buy some fruit. I'm so strong!!
Well, the fruit was like $1.50 MORE than the gigantic Cinnabon. AND it was going bad.
I ended up eating fries at McDonald's in Detroit on both trips. I hate fast food, but I had no problems either time.

Originally from WI, I am still in denial over my newfound casein intolerance. I fear I will not be allowed back into the state if I can no longer eat cheese and drink milk. This could pose some trouble over holidays when I wish to visit my family. It also poses a problem involving the severe rage I feel when I have to throw away somebody's unfinished cheese sticks. That is so wrong.
