My 16 year old daughter has been having upper abdominal pain on and off for about a year. No vomiting, diarrhea, etc- just random bouts of pains. Had CT of gall bladder, a bunch of lab tests and endoscopy with biopsy. The CT was normal, endoscopy was normal, biopsies were normal, all blood work was normal except IgG antobodies were high- all other antibodies were normal. The gastroenterologist has said celiac because he doesn't know what else it could be. Any suggestions? Opinions please!

I would say go for the biopsy since the blood tests were abnormal.

Another thing, I had a bad gall bladder and many of the tests were "normal" or inconclusive. Ask the MD to order a hitascan. Ask him to do the whole test. They
will do some sort of scan, then, thru an IV that will be placed at the beginning of the test, they will inject this fluid that will cause the gall bladder to "cycle". If it does not do so properly as it would in reaction to eating a meal, this will indicate that there is something wrong.

Good luck.
