My daughter's having a craving for saltines. Does anyone know if there are any saltine type crackers that are gluten and dairy free? The only crackers she's tried so far are nut thins and a few different brands of rice crackers and she hated all of them. Thanks!

Glutino or Glutano (can't remember which) makes a cracker that is similar (though not as salty) to a saltine... it's not exact so don't get your hopes up. Then another decent cracker is EnerG's crackers... Hoffner's makes a cracker that is very much like a ritz if you can find them...

we think that enerG crackers taste alot like saltines---minus the salt.

Shar also makes a cracker like a saltine--one of the best gluten-free ones I've had. (I buy a lot of Shar products from the gluten-free pantry.)

I swear by the glutino ones, they come in little packages that i take to lunch and eat with my chicken and rice soup. A warning, they break very easily but it is the only thing that does the trick for me and i now love them to death. Hope this helps, i was once in that boat too!

We've had the Ener-G ones... and I really liked them. However, my gluten-free daughter would not even look at them, much less try them!

I've tried several different ones and I have to say the Schar crackers are the closest thing to a real cracker I've found (although they are pricey).

I like the Glutino ones pretty well but haven't found anything just like a Saltine yet.
