Amanda, maybe you can find some woodland nymphos in that riparian campsite?!

Nikerler, ingest some of my "sleep" drugs and begin ironing the tablecloths.

Mimms, I'm putting you in charge of organizing the parade and the marshmallows to shoot from the guns.

Geoss, you will be bringing squirrels, civkebs, and cats. I don't know what for, though.

everyone else, start amassing huge quantities of al-kee-haul (mainly absinthe), psuper psoakers, and Betty Crocker mixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They taste exactly like the old Batty Crocker brownies, which happened to be me phav mix ever! I added a bunch of chopped walnuts, too.

Last night, Mark and I listened to Earth, Wind and Fire, and Chicago in the park. They were playing in the pavillion, which is open-air, so you can hear the music all over the neighborhood.

I always knew that broad was off her rocker!...........................not you, Patteigh! :P

You had Earth Wind and Fire AND Chicago at yer park????????

WIH!!!! Blocked toilet here as well. Has someone cursed we vacationers??? Come on, fess up. Who's holdin' the voodoo dolls?

Yep! It's a perk of living across the park from the pavillion where they hold the concerts. :) In the cooler weather, our apartment management has parties on the roof when certain artists perform over there. Every weekend, you can simply take a walk around here and hear the live music.....

good Lord. Do all the Brits do this much ironing, or just our Nik? I pull my ironing board out about.......thrice a year  Because, well, I only wear ironed clothes for job interviews (or a profeshunal job, if I had one), weddings, adn funerals. as it should be. ;) I like my linen shirts just out of the dryer and not too crisp, thank you.

Nik clearly needs to spend more time in California. ;)

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dearrrrrr Jewelly,

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY TOOOOO YOUUUUU :)

be glad you couldn't ackshully hear me sing it

The older I get

the more I see

that what is wrong

is not with me

My wrinkled smile

is quick and broad

I now find "unique"

what I once thought "odd"

My baggy jeans

can go anywhere

I don't waste my time

'doing' my hair

I've funny friends

and hearty laughs

mostly from

my aging gaffs

I wouldn't change

the world I've learned

and never trade

the strength I've earned

true beauty comes

once years have turned

Humbled and awed by your talent and passion my friend <bows to your highness> Lurvley :)

Banphffphphphh is incredible. The Rocky Mountains are all around us......everywhere one looks, there are huge, towering, craggy mountain cliffs.

$10?? What a bargain. If I ahd 80 channels of cable I would never leave the house. Heck, I'd prolly never shower or cook either, just order take-out and stay in my sweats.

I LOVE that you do that! I have actually been thinking about installing on of those old fashioned lazy susan style clothes lines out back to save energy.

Went to the beach today--last minute invite from the neihbor. We took the kids swimming, twas fun. Now on to fixin' up the evenin' slop (burgers, salads, yellow string beans). Seriously thinking of puttting an above ground pool in the back yard. Let's see, how can I make some cash?????

Sills. I am STILL waiting for the Comcast man. <_< They just called, so I assume he's on his way. but 'twas a long afternoon of waiting, drinking red wine, and I smoked two cloves.

Comcast is injurious to one's health in SO many ways, I have decided.

and there is Jan-it reading along!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi ya J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How's the travels?

All right. I do a form of "line dry" meselfh most of the year. Have a dryer rack thingy in the garage, so, I just drape everything over it (and everything else) all the time, then put in dryer for about 10 minutes or so. My utility bills are shockingly cheap in the summer, partially because of this (I paid $40 last month and people are quite jealous over this).

Nik. Yeah, just come out here for a while and you'll change her ways.

:o

are you calling me LAZY??????????????

I'm totally okay with that.

and yes, the cable channels are dangerous and do contribute to one's slovenly ways. (have in fact SEEN Nik's wee hispanic Dog Whisperer, will look for more of him, but he may interfere with the Millionaire Matchmaker, all those Housewives of Wherever shows, and HGTV, and the Food Porn Channel............gah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and OMG - there were auditions yesterday for Housewives of Frezno    x 500

I truly can't WAIT for this show, if it happens *snackle* *snort*

where is that BLASTED Comcast miscreant of a man?????????????????

more later, sills....................

A fine day of weather here, with much of it spent out on the deck.

Much more of it spent in the kitchen. We have made a loaf of GFP French bread, baked three pizza crusts from the GFP French bread mix, and made lasagna. The latter is cooling as I type and will be ready to serve in five minutes.

The instructions say that the Gluten-Free Pantry mix makes two crusts, but we prefer a thinner crust so we make three.

Ah, Soooozeeee, waaaaiting for the cable guy. When he phinally shows up, do not succumb to the temptation to wrap the cable around his neck and slowly tighten it. You may feel justiphied in doing so, but I think the California Penal Code frowns on the practice.

Ah, me Psills, I is still here; have been reading along but having trouble responding. Had to have my arm in a cast for a while so I couldn't bend me elbow whilst the wound healed; then hassling with this 'puter (laptop) which probly should be on the lap and not the table because the cursor is cursed and I spend half the day cursin' it :( My gaawwd, the langwhich  Stoopid cursor jumps all over da page, deletes whole paragraphs, sometimes whole messages, leaves me typing one sentence in the middle of anudder, wif a bung arm to boot :( (still not allowed to bend de elbow, but have a huge wad of cotton bandaged in there now to prevent that.) Although these are nice peeps, I had to tell them what to do to fix it otherwise I still wouldn't be healed, but on Friday refused to have that cast back on <_< and came up with this solution instead.

So much has happened...

Em has become a YeeeHaaaw cowgirl; I can just see her out there ropin' steers and bull ridin'

Giannit's daughter is getting married and Brian is going to dance at the wedding :D x 100

Jess is getting all philosophical (phunny dat, didn't have to change the spelling)

PadT is masquerading as someone else....but looks good...

Nik is still!!! ironing clothes cause she dries them in the sun. One thing I learned--the sun's heat does not press clothes, or at least not the way one wants them to look. I is definitely a California girl, much to the consternation of Kiwis who use that whirlygig thingy with clothespins and keep taking them in and putting them back out because you can nae trust the weather; and much to my consternation when I get my power bill :( I only keeps the ironing board for guests. Have to buy all my clothes here because Kiwis make clothes that say "hand wash, lay flat to dry". Now who wants their house looking like a french laundry?? I ask yer! Even french laundries don't look that bad! And anyways, when I lived in London you couldn't hang them out to dry because they would turn blackgrey :o

Soozle is sizzlin' even more as she waits for her Comcast man with big thums and it sounds like she might be sozzled before he gets there. And, Soozle, once you gets your 80 channels there will still be nought to watch :o

David Hasselhof

Kangaroo scrotum!!!!????

Now that one takes the banana!

Nothing going on here pholks, move along please, there's nothin' to see.

Thanks all for your replies. I know by my last couple of blood tests it has shown signs of anemia so this may have escalated. I did tick a few of the boxes. The loss of appetite is very unusual for me and the anxiety is (I'm hoping) the main cause of this it just seems funny that it all started from the Vitargo a bit over a week ago.
    • Daughter with celiac- need test result help
You are not crazy!  She needs to learn to wash her hands before eating every single time and no fingers in her mouth!   Do you have a 504 plan in place at school? http://www.beyondceliac.org/SiteData/docs/504%20Roadmap/e4630d030351770a8cc47e9280fb19bd/504%20Roadmap.pdf Other parents have had this issue, so you can search the kids section of the forum.
    • Testing After Celiac Disease if IgA deficient
Yes, both these tests can be ordered.  The DGP test is typically better for dietary compliance. Insist on both! Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgG -Deamidated Gliadin Peptide  (DGP) IgG
    • celiac disease is psychosomatic
I was diagnosed a couple years ago and started gluten-free diet then. Test also showed damage to my small intestine. I explained to this doctor how I was barely able to get out of bed when I ate gluten in the pastand my intestines are still recovering from the damage. I only discussed this briefly. I consulted with this doctor concerning my dizziness explaining that I get dizzy/migraines when I eat gluten due to my celiac disease. I further explained that my dizziness has been cut in half since I went on a gluten-free diet so I am better able to get out of bed. The consult was about taking tests to figure out if something in my brain was causing my dizziness or this doctor specialized in testing the brain for impairments. In her summary, she stated that my memory impairments were probably due to being precoccupied with thinking about my psychosomatic symptoms. However, I only though about the test when I took it. And I only think about whatever task I am trying to remember when I try to remember it! I feel my symptoms rather than think about them all day long.
    • celiac disease is psychosomatic
If you don't get the diagnosis you are happy with go to another doc.  Try to find a Celiac Friendly doc.  OR you can do what i did and give up and just go gluten free.  I didn't need a doctor to confirm that if my gas, bloating, migraines, depression, joint pain, rash, dry skin and brittle nails went away when i went gluten free that i must have celiac.  AND 6 months after i went gluten free on my own i had some blood tests repeated that i had done when they were trying to figure out what was causing my severe rash, all the things that were "wrong" with me or abnormal in the the first blood tests, went to normal on the second test.  INCLUDING MY THYROID LEVELS! Oh, i didn't mention that during this time they diagnosed me with early hashimotos.. 6 months later i was miraculously cured from this progressive thyroid disorder according to the blood test results.  I didn't have hashimotos to put it bluntly.   I am almost 10 years gluten free with no positive Celiac diagnosis.  But let me tell you this,  My daughter's neurologist did a DNA test on her 1 year after she too went gluten free and it came back positive for Celiac.  so.  js.     That's my story..  in short.

Hello! I am new to this Celiac website... Is there anyone out there with Celiac AND extensive food allergies? My allergies include shellfish, dairy, eggs, cantaloupe, kiwi, mango, nuts, oranges, red dye, and more I can't think of. I went to the allergist about a year ago to see why I wasn't feeling well, and once everything was eliminated, I still didn't feel well. We did more testing to find out I had celiac as well as allergies to cattle as well as rye grass (I live on a farm basically). This was back in January 2016. I recently had my endoscopy with the gastroenterologist a week ago. I have no idea what to do or what to eat... So fish and potatoes for me!
