I think Vika has a 99% chance of dying when spotting Maddie! :)

Tru Dat! I bet you they weigh about the same and Vika is only about 2" taller. I think she's my age too

God help us all when she moves to the uneven bars!!!

And/or when she gets bigger. ...... .. .. .

My DD had such a pitiful time as a wee kid in gymnastics classes. I would stand wincing and grimacing as she repeatedly fell off the beam, rolled off the mats and tripped through various tumbles and cartwheels. At the end of what turned out to be her final lesson, she executed a lopsided cartwheel, turned on her heel and hurried over to me. Red-faced, she said "I need to put myself in front of a hockey net and start stopping pucks"... . . . ..

And so it went. :rolleyes::lol:

Assassin update: No confirmed kills yet. J found his prey's car at the girlfriend's house (not J's girl friend). He jumped on the car & shook it to try to get the alarm to go off so the boy would come. The car wasn't locked so no alarm! :P

After Max's first class last week, during free time he was doing front flips off the beam and then the higher ring platform into the foam pits. I sit there with my heart in my stomach the whole time. During his class, however, I laugh nonstop for 45 minutes. These preschoolers are Heeelarious!!

Hey all--about time you made it back, Rah-shell..... ;)

Oye, what a day. Went to the salon, Estaban greets me wif--got some bad news, the product was supposed to come in yesterday but didn't get here. Anywho, he said he could go pick it up and be back in 20 minutes--how sweet was that

so I occupied meselph by watching a lady get hair extensions put in. Had no idea how that worked--and what a production it was.

So, hair gets done--been there 2 hours at that point. Stopped at a grocery store near the salon that has a few things I can't find at Kroger. Whilst I'm in there, the sky opens up and it starts pouring.

I get about a mile from my house (still damp) and all traffic was stopped due to a tree that came down during the storm. Phinally got home 40 minutes before the house was to be shown--and thank goodness, not complaining about that at all but I had to spiff up the joint quick and turn on all the lights since it's such a gloomy day.

Just had a spot of tea and a Lara bar....so very relaxing :D

And the best part--I'm not bald :P

We should all play it! We would have to find each other lurking on different forum topics. Or we could actually shoot water guns in person. I want to get Nik or Rachelle when she is in Hawaii.

Good to hear you made it home with all your hair. Did the rain ruin your 'do?

A wee bit--I quickly used the blow dryer and a big round brush and it smoothed right back out. :)

.. . ... And your hair was perfect for the showing! The most vital thing, methinks. A potential buyer couple may have walked up your laneway, saying things like "This is lovely. I love the feel of the property, the neighboUrhood, the landscaping. .. .. . ....oh. . ...wait..... .. ...here comes the owner... . . ... . .whoa - - check out her HAIR.. .. .... . .what's up with that? Jeez, I dunno.. . .suddenly I'm not so sure.. . ... ...her hair isn't great, that has to mean something about her house.. ..we need to proceed with real caution"..... . .

When we get enough pluses we become excellent. What happens if we get a large negative number? Will the mods kick us off? We would have to come back with new secret names.

Used to work at a hospital in California where it is sometimes and in some places legal or sorta legal for medical purposes. Never heard it prescribed for the parent but would make sense. have you ever watched the show "Weeds?" The soccer mom was loosing business to legal pot sales.

Skeeter has a boy calling her . . . just a friend looking for some help on a video game that they both enjoy . . . but he knows no rules. He calls as late as 9:00 at night and he just called (8 am) this morning. I won't even call people at those times!!

I had my weigh in today. I'm down 4# this week, WooHoo!! Then our student brings in VooDoo donuts today and brings me a vegan donut <_< Well, at least it was just one and I can't dig into the rest of the box, so we'll see how I fair in the morning....

LURVE Ruth's Chris! That's usually my anniversary gift to my husband. Their green bean almondine is TDF!!! Have fun in the rain today ;)

Soooo not looking forward to that!! DD tried to convince me that she "just had to" call her friend to ask a "very important question" (about Justin Bieber ;) ) at 930 Saturday night. I said NO WAY! I'd be P.O.'d if someone called her after 8pm!

So, I get up this morning and my laptop is dead--nothing!

This is tragic! I shall pray for you! ;)

We had the problem with one of Matthew's friends. He didn't want to 'be mean'. So we cut his phone off. He finally got mad enough with them and told them to stop calling after 9 because they were getting him in trouble.

    • Food tolerance issues post-diagnosis
In light of the studies that found some probiotics that are labeled gluten-free yet tested over 20ppm I wouldn't touch them. Now those would be the powder or pill forms. Yogurt is not affected by that. Since you don't have a problem with dairy then I would say eat some yogurt every day. I like Chobani Greek because it has more kinds of cultures. Remember now that powder or pill forms of probiotics do not come under the gluten-free labeling law. The same for OTC & prescription meds. You need to check every single one of those. There are a few online sites where you can check things like that or ask here but as far as prescription meds -- call the manufacturer EVERY TIME. I also wanted to tell you in case you didn't already know that since celiac is genetic and can present at ANY age then all your first degree relatives need to be tested every 2 years in the absence of symptoms and immediately if symptoms present between the 2 year periods. As far as the digestive enzymes go, I tried Digest Gold for a short time & it really didn't seem to do anything for me however I will say I had a lot of issues going on at the time so I might not know if they helped or not. I decided to quit them in order to take that out of the equation so I could try to pin down what was causing me distress. The fewer things in the mix you know. I have heard people report the same as your consultant said. Some say they helped & some say they didn't. Remember Jammy, you're just in the beginning stages. I KNOW you want to heal & heal FAST. Been there, done that! It's like this: you didn't get sick overnight & you're not going to heal overnight. Patience is the watchword here. It's hard I know! You just want to get on with your life. We can all relate.  Again, I'm going to say to eat foods easy on your gut. WELL cooked foods. No raw carrots, coconut, nuts & stuff like that. Easier on your gut would be nut butters.... peanut butter, cashew butter, almond butter etc.... It's sort of like being a baby ---  soft, easy to digest foods. Bone broth is a great healer for you gut & extremely nutritious as well as being easy on the digestion. Here's just one recipe: http://wellnessmama.com/5888/how-to-make-bone-broth/

Thanks for the tip! Will try that out in the next few days. By the way, has anyone had any joy with probiotics or digestive enzymes in terms of symptom relief/speeding up the healing process? I asked my consultant about this when I saw him last week and he said that some people find them beneficial while others don't, but obviously I'm keen to try anything that may help, with uncomfortable fullness/bloating/gas still being my main issue  - is it worth giving them a go?
    • Are The Following Gluten-free?
I realize that this is an old thread but I would just like to say something about label reading. Just because a product says gluten free on the label doesn't mean that you don't have to read any further and can have complete trust in the product.  There are a lot of products that state that they are gluten free on the package and then you find out that they are processed in plants that also produce wheat products. If you are super sensitive, you need to know that information. I am afraid that there is no escaping reading labels in supermarkets unless you know that the company makes it's products in a truly gluten free environment (even then you should read labels because ingredients can and do change, even in products made in gluten free facilities), It's a pain to stand there and read labels but if you are super sensitive, you might just have to do that. For example, I am gluten and lactose intolerant but also sensitive to nuts and sesame. While it may be fine for other gluten intolerant people to eat something that's labeled gluten free which is produced in a gluten free facility that also processes nuts, for me it is not..
    • Golden Bell Pepper Soup (Gluten-Free)
Dipping your spoon into this bell pepper–sweet potato combo is like dipping into a bowl of sunshine. It's stunning—and the perfect antidote to a gloomy winter's day. This soup also freezes well, so if you're not serving a crowd, store the leftovers for a later date (or make a double batch). I like to enjoy this soup accompanied by my Massaged Kale Salad with Spicy Hazelnuts View the full article

Hello cycling lady, have you noticed my picture is showing up as you?  Have no idea why but it's rather disconcerting to see my picture and your words 😉  Do you know how to fix it?  You seem to have far more experience with this board than I do

Hi There, I don't know if there is a place for videos in the forum. I just watched "The Truth About Gluten" I think it is a good video. I would like to share it somewhere but don't know where it should go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the link if you have never watched it.
