And then there were two.......... It will be a nice tea Patti, of course we will all be there in spirit :D (Silly Spirits)

Now, think about the Outer Banks in September or October (HIGH HURRICANE SEASON, BUT THE HOUSE IS CHEAP....hee, hee, hee.) Any interest???

Sounds lovely Lisa :)

Hi Sillies- Sorry, I am WAY behind the curve. Was with the famdamnly from Thursday to last night on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain. We were technically in VT but you could swim to NY or Canada (I swam to neither :P). I had a GREAT time still antibiotic free!!!!!!!!!!! However, several strange events occurred that I must tell you of:

Welcome back Bev :D Sounds like you had a fabulous time, strange events and all  I'm so happy to hear you felt good too!!!!!!!!

We have landed in Philly............ :)

Amanda!! What in hell?? You do NOT need that job. Quit, I say! Meet us in Philly!

I am SO disappointed that you won't be here with Patti and me. :(:(

Okay, Patti, it's you and me....

I've scouted out our Starbucks. Looks like it will contain our mirth and hilarity, but only JUST.....

I am SO burned out from NYC.

Between the Empitre State Building, Times Square, Staten Island, Broadway.....mygawd, I'm a wasted shell.

Many hilarious things to recount to you all, but Patti gets the in-person, in-depth, first-up edition in approximately 48 hours..... ;)

OK . . . can't be bothered to go back and quote . . . let's see how much I remember . . .

Jess -:lol: - my thought's exactly, best thing to do with a neighbor like that is mess with her mind!! It would be fun to borrow another baby from someone and then Amanda could say something like "We were at the playground and I thought this was Landen, but now I don't think so. Do you think Jen will notice?" or "Can we borrow some beer? Landen is not wanting to go down for a nap and I want to put a little in his bottle so he'll get sleepy."

Nikki - grating - :lol::lol: - damn butterflies - :angry: - :lol::lol:

Amanda - OUCH on the meeting comment.

tom - yes, I think we're going to have to distinguish the two Lisa's some how . . . perhaps we could call (the new) Lisa, Curly . . . think of all the fonedick possibilities . . . and so both of you Lisas know, you have no say in this.

Bev - sounds like a fab time.

LisaGoose and Sarah - I'm spending the night in Asheville on our way to Fripp for vacation. Either of you close by?

I think so... arms are still pretty bad, but my legs definitely seem to be getting better. It did jump the bridge of me nose and is trying to get going on the other side. Every time I glance in the mirror, I say, "Nuh-uh! Stop that!"

Emotionally, better than I had expected to be at this point... makes me feel even more sure that the Prozac was NOT doing its job, and was instead making things worse. <_<

Physically... not great, but definitely not terrible. Still having the electric-shock-tingles, pounding heartbeat, and dizziness- all of which leads to nausea. But thank God, it's not constant... comes and goes. From what I've read, that could last for MONTHS :( ...but doesn't always. For some people it only lasts a few weeks... and everyone else is in between.

Absolutely can NOT sleep without some kind of medication- I gave up even trying for now. And odd dreams... And fatigue...

I'm not feeling great, but it's a huge relief that the emotional storms have died down. A couple days last week were completely... unbearable. But I've felt really good emotionally now, so- I'm happy about that. :D

Some people shell out a lot of money on controlled substances to feel this way. Maybe you could just add something to induce hallucinations and pretend you're back in college.

Ah Jess, there is a reason for the name.

LEDGEND has it... that Pirate would walk their old nag horses up and down the dunes with a lantern around the horses neck. It would look like a ship rolling on the sea. The other Piratiers would approach what they thought was a ship and run aground onto the dunes. The Pirates would salvage the booty from the wrecked ship. Thus, we have the name Nags Head. Now, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Whale Bone Junction - I haven't a clue.

Romantic, naw.

Done. AND......NOT in my Reeboks, but in my Birks, if you can imagine.

Beat DH, too. :ph34r::P

I had trouble singing in this @#!!@#* humidity. It's almost as bad as Ottawa.

OMG....We have a FREE happy hour at this hotel....FREE alcoholic beverages in their very swank lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, and free snacks - - gluten-free salsa and corn chips, and sliced fruit!

We're doing some Ben Franklin things tomorrow......

He really was quite a Renaissance man, now, wasn't he? :)

Furthermore... The Outer Banks are the final resting place of more shipwrecks than anywhere else in the world. I have a map of them around here somewhere, probably still packed in a box, and it's amazing! There's so many shipwrecks off the shores, that it's harder to find bare ocean bottom than to find a shipwreck.

So romance is an accidental occurrence that stems from cowering under the covers to avoid the undead, seaweed-laden sailors searching for the descendants of those who caused their predicament?

It sounds like you're dealing with a complex situation, and I can understand how frustrating it must be not to have a clear answer. Gut health can indeed play a significant role in various aspects of our well-being, including hair health.

I have found similar benefits from thiamine. I was diagnosed with celiac at 16 and never really recovered despite strict gluten and dairy free diet and no detectable antibodies on checkup bloodworks. I’ve tried stopping the b1 but start to feel bad again- I wanted my doctors to do more extensive testing for the different thiamine transporters and enzymes which would be a better indication if I was deficient or dependent on it but everyone dismisses it (there are know genetic mutations where you need to take it daily for life). I have looked into Thiamine Responsive Megablast Anemia and I have a lot of the more mild symptoms of the disease that manifest when thiamine isn’t given to the patient such as optic neuritis… I just find the parallels interesting. i think that celiacs could be a side issue of inflammation that resulted from vitamin deficiencies. I was eating a lot of sugar leading up to my diagnosis and since eating gluten free didn’t make me feel much better, I’m wondering if this was more the underlying issue (sugar heavily depletes b1). I usually take 1.5g thiamine a day.

Thank you for your welcome and reply.  Yes I've been carefully reading labels looking for everything in bold and have been amazed by what I have seen. However Heinz tomato and basil soup is wheat free so I m thinking I already have ulcers?  The acid could be causing the pain . My pain always starts in one place then follows the same route through me . GP confirmed that is the route of our digestive system.  So much pain from stabbing to tearing. If I throw in milk with lactose it's horrific.  Many years of it now, won't go into details but been seeing a consultant for a supposedly different problem . Wondering what damage has been done over the years. Many thanks for your reply. Wishing you the very best.

Welcome to the forum community, @Fluka66! Did you realize that the vast majority of all canned soups use wheat starch as a thickener, including such common commodities as Campbell's tomato soup?

Hello. Any help would really steady my nerves right now. I realised recently that certain food left me in agonising pain so eliminated from my diet. I also have a swollen lymph node. My very caring Dr did some blood tests and I went back the other day to see another equally caring Dr . She looked at the test results one result has come back with something wrong. It came very fast so I'm afraid I didn't catch what it was. Anyway the urgent referral to ENT. She did say as I had already eliminated gluten it wouldn't say anything on the results and neither Drs nor I were prepared to reintroduce gluten . I've just had some tomato soup and again in agony only thinking this must have aggravated maybe existing problems. Does anyone know what I'm facing now ? My swollen lymph node , pain when eating gluten and lactose and I'm assuming the acidity of tomatoes triggering pain.  I'm trying to stay calm and to be honest I've been in intolerable pain at times rendering me unable to stand up straight but I've always just got on with it . Guess I'm reaching out and would really appreciate any wise or unwise words at this stage. Wishing you all the very best as you live with this illness. Fluka66
