I was diagnosed with crohns 11 years ago and during the past few months my doctors have been testing me for celiacs. My IGA and IGG numbers were high (44 and 110) but my biopsy was negative (which could have been because medicane I take for crohns can also help in celiacs). I was wondering if anyone else has Crohns and celiacs and how possible it is to get an accurate diagnosis for celiacs when you already have another digestive disease with the similar symptoms. It is also my understanding that my IGG could be high because of Crohns instead of celiacs. Any information would be greatly appreciated

I have also heard that same thing about the IGG's. I think mainly because of increased intestinal permeability that accompanies crohn's. I have also heard that some with Crohn's benefit greatly by going on a gluten-free diet. So, I think there is some relationship there, outside of being autoimmune-related. Are your crohn's symtoms very similar to those of a celiac?
